‘RHOA’ RECAP: Sheree Confronts Kandi, Drew Exposes Ralph’s ‘Controlling’ Ways

Welcome back to another episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. First, Drew Sidora’s home checking her daughters temperature; before showing her assistant some of her dance moves. Drew’s excited for her upcoming music video but struggles with the choreography.

As Drew struggles, Ralph comes in to get some orange juice while Drew brings up that her sister Allison and mother plan to visit soon. Ralph gets quiet as Drew tells him that Allison’s excited to see him and that she wants to talk with Ralph. In her confessional, Drew lets us know Allison’s managed her career since Drew was eight. Ralph doesn’t know what to expect from Allison’s visit but plans to go with the flow. Drew explains she never had a sister relationship with Allison due to Drew’s career. Although Allison is like a second mom to Drew, Allison had a mental break two years ago which forced her to seek professional help.

Unseen footage shows Drew trying to calm Allison down during an emotional moment. Drew wants Allison to be included in her music career, but Ralph disagrees. Ralph tells Drew that Allison’s done hurtful things to him and doesn’t know if he can be around her yet.

Drew sits in frustration while she explains Allison accused Ralph of being controlling and manipulative, which caused Allison to be banned from their house for years! Drew wants Ralph to put in the effort to be around Allison, but Ralph has other plans. Ralph doesn’t want to trigger Allison and tells Drew he may have to leave and Drew’s going to pray about it and hope things work out.

Later that night, Sheree Whitfield’s working on She by Sheree with her operations manager, Joe. Joe shows Sheree a few infant pieces while a producer asks about Sheree’s profits. 

Sheree claims there’s not a lot of profit coming in because she’s spending so much money on the business. Sheree explains a few changes needed as Joe goes over Sheree’s upcoming schedule for early next week. Joe informs Sheree that their receiving emails from fans asking when certain products will launch. Sheree’s happy to put new products on her website and says it feels good proving haters like Kandi Burruss wrong. Kandi thinks Sheree should have a sense of humor about the situation but Sheree’s not laughing. Joe tells Sheree the items should be ready on the website by next week as Sheree asks Joe to wear a She by Sheree hat next time. After hanging up with Joe, Sheree text Kandi so they could meet and talk out their issues. Kandi readily accepts. Let’s hope they can squash this. 

The next day, Marlo Hampton’s at Le’Archive conducting her Foster care Friday with her co-founder. Marlo asks her guest what foster parents should know and Kyra comments on foster parents making all the children feel included. After wrapping up, Sanya Richards-Ross stops by to check in on her friend. Sanya tells Marlo that Belk wants to carry her Mommy Nation products and how grateful Sanya is to share something so special with Marlo. Sanya then tells Marlo she’s heartbroken that the ladies don’t know the Marlo she’s gotten close to. Sanya thinks Marlo listens when they’re alone but Marlo snaps when it comes to the other ladies. Marlo respectfully disagrees and continues thinking Kandi said f*** her nephew. Sanya thinks Marlo has a valid point, but Marlo claims she’ll let it go and move on. 

Marlo tells Sanya about her blind date and how excited she is to get back out there. Marlo says she hasn’t been on a date in four years and it’s time to get her groove back. Sanya tries to teach Marlo what to ask but Marlo’s only concern is if the man’s debt free and has money. Luckily, Marlo’s date is Jamaican and may be the man to manage her behavior.

The next day, Sheree and Kandi meet to talk but Kandi’s tickled at Sheree’s attire. Sheree came dress with a mink coat and red bottoms. Some work out attire. As Sheree and Kandi head to a bench to sit, Sheree asks about Marlo. Kandi’s done with Marlo and feels that Marlo’s directed too much negative energy towards her. 

Sheree brings up how Marlo gave Kandi KFC last year and that’s all it took and jokes about Marlo giving Kandi a few sides this time. As the two sit, Sheree tells Kandi about her grandbaby and how beautiful Mecca is. After the reunion, Sheree thought she and Kandi were good until Kandi began spoofing Sheree online. Sheree believes she’s been supportive of Kandi and Kandi agrees while believing she’s been supportive of Kandi. Kandi’s taken aback because Sheree didn’t mention this beef at her brunch, but Sheree would rather talk to Kandi one on one. Sheree thinks Kandi shaded her business, but Kandi doesn’t see how she shaded Sheree. Sheree’s upset that Kandi spoke about the website crashing, but Kandi doesn’t agree. 

As Kandi talks, Sheree asks if Kandi’s bought anything online yet and Kandi questions if Sheree added the items to the website. Sheree claims the website’s been up for two months and Kandi laughs in disbelief. Sheree tells Kandi things were kicked out through the back end and Sheree explains for a while as Kandi sits and listens. Sheree tells Kandi she doesn’t come to her for music advice and that Kandi shouldn’t come to her for fashion advice.

Sheree says the items from the runway aren’t for sale and claims the items are dropping at different times. Kandi replies “ok” as Sheree tells Kandi she should’ve asked, instead of putting false narratives out there. Kandi believes she was repeating the things everyone else put out there as producers show us receipts. Sheree brings up Kandi’s failed inspection and Kandi comes back with “But I went back and passed my inspection.” 

The two go back and forth as Kandi calls Sheree’s business “She by Shein,” while Sheree defends her business. Sheree brings up that she brought twelve people to Kandi’s restaurant and although their food took three hours to come out; she never did an interview or spoke badly about Kandi. Sheree then shades Kandi’s clothing store and claims people can only wash the items once, but Kandi’s happy people can at least buy her items. Kandi explains that her store carries other clothing brands and the two go back and forth about advice Kandi tried to give Sheree in the past. Sheree didn’t want Kandi’s advice but later turned around and did what Kandi suggested. After the debate, Kandi does apologize for speaking negatively online and the two agree to move on. 

The next day, Kenya Moore’s baking cookies with Brooklyn as Sanya and Ross discuss their baby-making plans. Tye’s hyping Marlo up about her foster care organization as Sanya hypes Marlo up about her date. Kandi and Todd Tucker are working on the script with producer and actress, Reese Odum. Todd jokes with Kandi about licking on some women as Kandi discusses her feelings about Drew playing the lead. Kandi doesn’t want to play opposite of Drew and doesn’t want to be typecast. Todd believes Drew has the look of the character and they both think Drew’s a good actress. Kandi thinks Drew will be great but wonders if Drew will feel comfortable playing the road. Reese says Todd’s making sure nothing explicit happens as Drew talks with her mama about the upcoming video shoot. 

Drew wants her chef to cater lunch for the crew, as Drew fixes her mama a cocktail. Drew shows her mama all the locations as they both dance with excitement. After that, Productions shows us a message stating filming wraps at 10:30 PM and what happened two hours later. Allison arrived after production filmed and Drew filmed Allison’s arrival while letting us know Ralph went to bed to avoid Allison. Drew wanted Ralph to support Allison in her healing and doesn’t believe he made the right move by excluding himself. It’s Drew’s video shoot day and everything’s in motion as Drew finishes getting dressed. Drew’s vision is women’s empowerment as some of the ladies come to support Drew. Ralph chats with Mama Jeanette as Allison walks away as Drew introduces her to Courtney Rhodes.

Drew thanks the ladies for coming and Kenya wonders where Sheree and Kandi are. Sheree’s busy with an interview as the women wonder where Kandi is. It’s showtime and Drew has a skating instructor and Sanya wonders why Drew decided to skate knowing she’s accident prone. Rage sets the ladies up and gives them their que as it’s time to roll camera. Drew and the girls are having a great time and Drew’s video looks cute. However, Kenya thinks Drew’s video is low budget as Monyetta Shaw-Carter calls Drew’s video “cute.” Ralph asks Allison what she thinks of the video and Allison believes Drew’s vision looks just like a previous dream she had. Ralph and Allison have a cute moment and hug while celebrating Drew’s accomplishments. 

Ralph believes he and Allison can move forward and Drew comes over to console Allison. Drew’s grateful to be with her family at this time and prays that she and Allison will continue to move forward. The next night, Marlo’s preparing for her blind date with William and Michael as they wish her luck on her way out. In the car, Marlo hopes she doesn’t cough and that this man has some money. Marlo calls Sanya to show off her outfit and to calm her nerves. Sanya tells Marlo about Drew’s music video and Marlo’s upset that she wasn’t invited. Marlo hangs up with Sanya to call Drew and see what the issue is. Marlo calls Drew a fake b*** but then calls Drew beautiful when she answers. Drew’s shocked Marlo’s calling but Marlo congratulates Drew before diving into her nervousness about this date. 

Drew keeps it real and tells Marlo she needs an apology and doesn’t understand where Marlo’s energy came from. Drew wants Marlo to come to her correct and Marlo claims she didn’t know Drew was so upset. Marlo downplays her behavior and says that’s how people talk to their friends in Florida. Drew finishes by saying she doesn’t like how Marlo moves as a friend and Marlo hangs up on Drew. Marlo thinks Drew’s acting and says Drew’s built like a square; and that Ralph doesn’t want her. Marlo arrives for her date and Scotley greets Marlo with a hug and roses. Marlo’s all smiles as Scotley wins and dines Marlo at his restaurant. 

Neither have been on a blind date before and Tye thinks Scotley’s good for Marlo since he’s so opinionated and loves to cook. The two order drinks as Marlo gets to know Scotley and his three kids under ten. Marlo discusses her nephews as the two bond over oysters and pepper prawns. Scotley watch Marlo eat as Marlo puts on the charm to land this Jamaican daddy. Marlo asks if Scotley has any skeletons in the closet and Scotley admits he’s been locked up on multiple occasions. Marlo’s sold at this point and tells Scotley how much she enjoyed letting Scotley lead. Scotley wants to spoil Marlo and the two toast while Marlo leaves with a smile on her face.
