VH1 Star Dead After Colon Cancer Battle
Gone too soon. Former star of VH1’s “Real Chance of Love,” Ahmad Givens aka Real has died after a long battle with cancer.
In 2013, the husband and father of one was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Givens had surgery and while things were looking, his cancer returned. His brother Chance, told TMZ, his brother was having complications speaking and blurry vision on Friday evening and transitioned hours later.

Givens, 33, kept his fans informed on his condition through his numerous Instagram postings. He remained optimistic as his condition worsened. Chance and Real were favorites among fans during their time on the VH1 reality dating show “I Love New York.” They also earned a spin-off show and stints on competition shows with the network. Chance posted an emotional note about his brother on Instagram Saturday morning.
“By [bye] to my favorite guy in this whole world be in peace we love you forever bro I’ll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God’s kingdom forever and ever bro words can’t describe my pain world pray for me!”
