Lisa Vanderpump Dragged For Supporting Cheater Tom Sandoval On ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Reunion
Vanderpump Rules fans have been ripping into Lisa Vanderpump for defending Tom Sandoval in the days since the airing of the Season 10 reunion opener. The cast gathered to rehash “Scandoval,” after the cover band frontman was caught in a months-long affair with Raquel Leviss during his nine-year relationship with then-girlfriend, Ariana Madix.
Lisa Vanderpump was determined to “sort it out” and get to the real truth as she took the reunion stage. While she complimented Madix’s sizzling revenge dress, her responses to some of her later comments raised eyebrows across the Bravosphere.
When host, Andy Cohen, asked Madix if a lack of intimacy played a part in the demise of the ex-couple’s relationship, she replied — “No, I think he caused the divide in the relationship because he was f**king other people.”
Lisa Vanderpump pointed out that “other people” implied that Sandoval had been unfaithful with women aside from Leviss, and Madix reiterated — “He’s f**ked more than Raquel.”
Cohen later asked Madix if Lisa’s business relationship with Sandoval would end her friendship with Lisa.
“We just won’t be as close,” Madix replied.
Lisa, who appeared shocked, asked— “Hold on a second! What do you expect me to do?”
Lisa pointed out that she had been supportive of Madix for years, but Madix insisted that it would be difficult to to maintain a close relationship, considering her professional ties to Sandoval. The duo eventually agreed that Lisa’s work relationship with Sandoval should not cause a wedge in their friendship.
Lisa appeared to defend Sandoval when she ordered James Kennedy, who repeatedly spoke over the bar owner, to “stop it.” The restauranteur also inserted herself between the two men, and told the DJ that he would be banished to his dressing room if he didn’t behave.
“I’ll be sent for a time-out!” Kennedy sarcastically teased. “I get a spank-bottom at lunchtime, Andy. Lisa, I get a spank-bottom, alright?”
Lisa informed Lala Kent that her position was “ridiculous” after she compared Sandoval to her ex, Randall Emmett. Lala labeled Madix’s ex “a f**king narcissist,” while declaring that “everyone needs to be warned” about this “dangerous human being.” Lisa later told her to “calm down” citing the group’s shady history with fidelity.
“We’re here for, like, 10 hours for God’s sake!” Lisa exclaimed. “You cannot start like this.”
Kennedy defended Kent and called out Lisa for sticking up for Sandoval.
“I’m not sticking up for Tom!” Lisa insisted, as Sandoval called her responses “reasonable.”
Fans appeared to agree with Kennedy, and many used Twitter to hit back at Lisa for seemingly defending Sandoval.
One fan wrote — “Not Sandoval coming for people during this reunion and Lisa DEFENDING him? I understand that she’s like a mama bear but she picked the wrong cub to protect IMO.”
Another asked — “Why the hell is Lisa defending Tom so much?!? I fully agree with Lala and James!”
A third chimed in — “I really don’t understand why Lisa is standing up for Sandoval. He did something wrong and he should take accountability for his actions.”
One viewer tweeted — “Anyone else feel like Lisa was defending Sandoval TOO MUCH?”
Another fan snarked —“I don’t remember Lisa stopping Sandoval when he was attacking others so shhhhhhhh.”
One person pointed out — “Lisa is trying so hard to protect Sandoval because she wants their restaurants to do well since she put some money into it but it is coming across as really cringey.”
The Vanderpump Rules reunion continues on Wednesday at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
