Fans React to Jen Shah’s First Photos in Prison Uniform Since Incarceration

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was snapped walking in the prison yard with a fellow inmate in photos published by Page Six.

The women, both wearing beige prison garb, appeared to be engrossed in a conversation while strolling around the outside space.

Jen Shah, 49, appears to be keeping her style game on point while behind bars, as she was photographed with her hair pulled back in a neat ponytail and rocking simple gold earrings.

In July 2022, Jen pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud for her role in a massive telemarketing scheme, largely targeting the elderly. Shah, who was arrested by the feds while filming the Bravo series, initially professed her innocence but eventually admitted wrongdoing after her codefendants pled guilty. The fallen Bravo star, who was originally sentenced to 6.5 years in federal prison, checked into the Texas prison camp  on February 17th.

In March, Jen’s sentence was reduced by a year, bumping up the mom of two’s release date to August 30, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prison’s inmate database.

Jen Shah’s rep issued a statement after news of the reduced sentence broke.

“I have spoken with my client Jen Shah over the phone this week — she is doing well and remains committed towards making her victims whole,” the rep told PEOPLE, at the time. “She has initiated her payments towards restitution, and we hope to have her home as soon as possible so that she may resume life with her family and work, putting this chapter of her life behind her.”

Several of Jen’s victims have described how the reality star’s “marketing” company wiped out their bank accounts and retirement funds. Jen supposedly remains committed to making “restitution to those whose lives she has impacted.”

“I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people,” Shah told Judge Sidney Stein at  her sentencing hearing. “I want to apologize by saying, I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.”

Jen Shah’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, previously told the mag — “[Jen’s] path ahead will be filled with challenges, but with the unwavering love and support of her family and friends, Jen is prepared to face these challenges head-on and emerge from this experience a better person who makes a positive impact on others.”

Jen’s assistant recently dished an update on the Utah “Housewife,” via the Bravo alum’s social media. He revealed that Jen was doing “phenomenal” inside the minimum security facility.

“She looks beautiful, her skin looks so glowy, her hair looks great,” he shared via Jen’s Instagram Story, which he has been running in his client’s absence.

Jen has also been leading a fitness class three times weekly, which has earned her a new moniker—“Jen Fonda.”
