Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Returning To ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Amid Scandoval Affair Drama
Jax Taylor is ready for a reality TV comeback. Jax and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, dished if they’d be ready and willing to return to Vanderpump Rules if the network asked them back.
“Yeah,” Jax told E! News at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 27. “I wish I could tell you, we have so many things going on right now.”
The former Bravo couple was in attendance at the Mexico wedding of their ex co-stars, Scheana Shay and Brock Davies, in August 2022, but were not filmed for Season 10.
However, Jax, 43, and Brittany, 34, both said “yes” when asked if they would like to be included in future VPR cast events, in the recent interview.
They confirmed — “If there is another wedding — which could be, who knows — yes we will be back.”
Jax and Brittany made their Bravo exits in 2020, but haven’t been shy about speaking out about Tom Sandoval’s exposed affair with Raquel Leviss. The months-long affair led to the musician’s breakup from his girlfriend of nearly a decade, Ariana Madix.
Jax weighed in on how the fallout from “Scandoval” could affect future seasons of the Bravo reality show.
“I don’t know who is going to film with them, that’s the problem,” Jax pondered. ”Is it possible? Anything is possible but I just don’t know who would film with them.”
The couple noted the role that Sandoval’s friend and business partner, Tom Schwartz, could play in how the show continues, with Brittany noting—“Maybe Schwartz would be the only person I feel like at this point that would actually film with them. So I mean you never know.”
Jax was singing a different tune in April 2021 as he described feeling pressured to fall in line with Bravo editors, during an appearance on the “Daddy Issues” podcast.
“I cannot tell you how happy I am not to be part of that show anymore,” he said of the reality series. “It’s weight that’s lifted off me that I don’t have to be that person….that douchebag, that villain, that guy. …The only thing I’m gonna miss about it is the paycheck.”
Jax claimed that he sometimes faked a persona for producers, during an Instagram Live that same month.
“I put in nine years. It’s a long time to be lying to the fans. Because it’s not true. A lot of the stuff I was doing was just not real,” he said, at the time. “The show is highly edited. All they did was show me blow up and go crazy all the time.”
Fans can hear more from Brittany and Jax on their new podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, which debuted on March 28.
“We’re super excited,” Brittany said. “a lot to live up too. It’s going to be amazing.”
Jax chimed in — “Give us some time, we’re going to make it great. We do have a lot to live up too. We thank everyone for downloading so far and we can’t wait.”
The duo also gushed over their son, Cruz, who turns 2 later this month.
“He’s doing amazing,” Jax said. “He’s going to be two April 12.”
Brittany shared that the tot’s upcoming birthday bash will be Toy Story themed.
“2 infinity and beyond,” she said. “All Toy Story, been ready since his first birthday party.”
The couple was asked if a second child could be in their future.
“Ready any second of any day,” Brittany declared. “I got the boobs out so come on let’s do it.”
“Another one could be on the horizon,” Jax teased.
