Tamar Braxton finally broke her silence on the Real Housewives of Atlanta couple who accosted her three months ago.
Back in December 2022, Tamar Braxton dropped a bomb on her Instagram Story when she accused a Real Housewives of Atlanta star and their spouse of threatening her life but she didn’t disclose the couple’s identity.
During a March 19 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen — to promote her new Peacock reality series Queens Court — Tamar spilled tea on the couple behind the offensive behavior.
According to the 46-year-old, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker, are the culprits who cornered her in an aggressive manner and wanted to physically assault her.
At the time, Tamar posted vague remarks about the incident in a series of Instagram Stories, leading social media to run rampant with speculation — “I feel like if I did what they did, they would have told the WORLD. It’s BEEF and it’s a REAL BEEF cause yo HUSBAND stepped to me! Periodt! Merrry Christmas!” She commented in December 2022.
When a WWHL fan questioned Tamar about the incident, host Andy Cohen chimed in to say it was widely speculated that she was referring to Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Eva Marcille.
Tamar asserted, “It was not. It was not, and it really did happen. I’m not lying. I’m not looking for attention or drama or anything. But, that sh*t really did happen. And it was not cute.”
Andy Cohen persisted in questioning Tamar and inquires, “Was she a full ‘Housewife?’” Tamar responds, “She’s a full ‘Housewife!!’” Andy follows with, “It’s not Kandi,” and Tamar smirked while sipping her drink.
Nivea, who is also a guest on WWHL, chimed in to offer her two cents, “Oooh, oh my lamb!” An astonished Andy Cohen inquires, “I thought you and Kandi mended everything after ‘Big Brother?’” Tamar responds, “I thought so too. I had no idea. I’ll tell you the story later.”
Tamar hopped on Twitter to clarify that her new fiancé confronted Todd for his hostile behavior. She wrote, “Before y’all start.. I left the situation alone. but the fact is kandi & Todd wanted to fight me!! Periodt!! There was witnesses and JR came to the next show to check Todd and she nor he won’t address it cause how do u defend that? The facts are the facts tho. l’m off it #/changed.”
The former Braxton Family Values star got engaged to Jeremy “JR” Robinson, one of the finalists on the Peacock dating show, Queens Court.
“I prayed for somebody to understand me and not look at me and my flaws and just accept me for who I am,” Tamar told JR. “And then I met you. And then I saw every single thing that I ever prayed for as a child.”
JR, who is an attorney, expressed that Tamar was also his dream come true. “I’m not only willing, I’m ready,” he told the 46-year-old singer. “So much so that I don’t want to be your friend…I want to be your husband.”
On Queens Court, Tamar, along with Evelyn Lozada from Basketball Wives and R&B singer, Nivea, searched for their happy endings. Tamar wasn’t the only one who found love; Evelyn also said “yes” to her finalist, Lavon Lewis.
