‘RHOBH’ Star Garcelle Beauvais Is Happy Lisa Rinna Was Fired
Garcelle Beauvais is looking forward the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, without her former co-star, Lisa Rinna, in the mix.
The 56-year-old Bravo star discussed the recent cast shift during a Tuesday appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s Show, Sherri. The host asked Garcelle how she felt about Rinna’s exit, and the actress offered a simple response.
“I’m good. I’m good … period,” she said flatly.
The reality star continued — “You know what, listen, I’m gonna give her credit. She definitely came on the show and made her mark but now it’s time for new.”
Last month, Lisa Rinna slammed Garcelle Beauvais and former cast mate, Sutton Stracke, when she called out the pair’s work ethic.
“You know what, listen, I’m gonna give her credit. She definitely came on the show and made her mark but now it’s time for new,” the former soap opera actress told Interview Magazine.
“I did a lot of work. Because I’m a worker bee and I’ll just do it. I’ll say it. I don’t have any fear,” Rinna continued. “If you’re so liked, you’re not going to want to do the work.”
Sherri asked the actress how she felt about having to “show up and work,” prompting Garcelle to fire back—“Bitch, I’ve been showing up.”
Garcelle had shared an intermittent friendship with Rinna for 20 years when she joined RHOBH for Season 10. The duo went on to clash over their mutual friendship with Denise Richards, amid drama with RHOBH alum, Brandi Glanville.
Lisa Rinna and Garcelle moved past their conflict but their feud was revived after Rinna tossed a copy of Garcelle’s memoir in the trash.
Rinna admitted to tossing Garcelle’s tell-all book, ‘Love Me As I Am,’ in the garbage during Part 2 of the Season 12 RHOBH reunion series, after butting heads with her co-star throughout the season. Fans were led to believe that it was Erika Jayne who ditched the read but Rinna copped to the diss, explaining that Erika had only uploaded the video to her own Instagram Story.
Rinna confirmed that her action was due to the book’s mention of her daughter, Amelia Gray Hamlin’s eating disorder. Garcelle explained that they took care of the issue with a second edition, which was printed without mention of the model’s body image problems.
Denise Richards, took to her Instagram Story to weigh in on her former friend after Andy Cohen called out Rinna’s “disastrous” social media behavior during the second part of the reunion series.
Denise wrote, “I watched #RHOBH last night. While I have empathy for Lisa Rinna losing her mom. What is her excuse all the other years on the show for being so cruel & so vindictive?”
Garcelle threw some subtle shade the day after Rinna announced her departure, posting a video set against Elton John hit, “I’m Still Standing.”
