Jessica Simpson Was The SIDE CHICK To ‘Massive’ Movie Star
Jessica Simpson dished about a “teenage fantasy” come to life in a “short and true story” called “Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single,” published Wednesday.
The singer was on a break from her relationship with Nick Lachey, 49, when a “massive movie star” gave her the up-down at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
“He was undressing me with his eyes,” the 42-year-old told her readers.
The “Dukes of Hazard” star, who called the pair’s connection both “sexy” and “demeaning,” got the man’s phone number but never used it because she reconciled with Lachey. The “Newlyweds” couple divorced in 2006, and Jessica later shared a smooch with the same unidentified movie star at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She wrote that the kiss sent a “warm rush all the way down my body.”
The celeb told Jessica at the time that his relationship with his girlfriend was “completely over.” The duo began to spend time at nightclubs, at a mutual friend’s house, and even hung out on a movie set.
Jessica wrote that she later began to feel “like a call girl” who was only useful for sex. She later discovered, after meeting up with the mystery man via a private hotel entrance, that she was being hidden “from his chick.”
The fashion mogul concluded — “I didn’t care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life, this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of.”
Jessica’s memoir, “Open Book,” which was released in February 2020, is being adapted as a scripted series. Her fling with the unnamed celebrity was not included in the book. The memoir does cover her romances with singer, John Mayer, athlete, Tony Romo, and stuntman, Johnny Knoxville, among other high-profile names.
Jessica wed former NFL player, Eric Johnson, in 2014. The couple shares two daughters, Maxwell, 10, and Birdie, 3, and 9-year-old son, Ace.
