Good Morning America’s Janai Norman Potty Mouth and Shadiness Revealed
Good Morning America’s Janai Norman took her TikTok followers behind the scenes as she got ready for an episode of the morning show. She gave her TikTok followers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look as she got ready in a video titled, “Come with me to Good Morning America.”
In the clip, Jania showed fans what it takes to get her camera ready while wearing under-eye masks. The ABC personality placed time stamps on her video to show how early she was getting ready. After she was done with the hair and dressing team, Norman headed to her dressing room.
Norman showed fans the outfit she was going with for the show. It was a satin copper-colored dress, accessorized with a gold waistline belt. The news anchor paired the outfit with gold heels. Later in the video, Janai sat in her dressing room as she went over that day’s script. She revealed that she would change some things in her script to put it in more of her “language.”
While Janai was making the adjustments to the script, someone knocked on her door. She let them know as they came in that they were being recorded. Janai must have edited her interaction with the man out of the clip.
The next clip only showed her kicking him out because “she had work to do.” As he was leaving, he said something shady under his breath, which Janai heard. The Good Morning America host said the man was being shady because he said, “back to your 200 followers.”
Despite Janai taking the man’s comments as shade, he was right. She currently only has 243 TikTok followers. She asked, looking straight into the camera, “There are gonna be more of you soon, right?”Janai jokingly called the man who had just left a “motherf—ker.” Unlike her TikTok account, Janai has a significant following on other social media platforms. She currently has over 50,000 followers on Instagram.
Janai joined Good Morning America for the second hour in 2019. On July 5, 2022, Janai was announced as the new co-anchor for the Good Morning America weekend edition. In a staff memo, ABC News President, Kim Godwin, shared the news.
“Janai is a versatile and talented journalist, whether she is anchoring at the desk, conducting a one-on-one interview with a newsmaker of the day, or reporting in the field on breaking news.”
Kim added, “She puts her heart into her work and makes it a priority to cover the most important underreported issues of our time, including the maternal mortality crisis facing Black women and the stigma of mental health.”
Janai led “Pop News” on the weekend and was the overnight anchor for “World News Now” and “America This Morning” before she joined the weekend edition of GMA. After Janai joined the show, she and her husband, Charlie, dropped 2.2 million on a New Jersey mansion. The gorgeous mansion has 13,000 square feet of living space and sits on nearly an acre of private property in Montclair. The couple has two children and has plenty of space for their kids to run around in the six-bedroom house.
The ABC hosts mansion also boasts five and a half baths, a banquet size dining room, and a three-car garage. The house also has a master bedroom, several walk-in closets, and an ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub. The GMA host upgraded to the mansion for her $1.2 million dollar South Orange home.
Since her debut on the weekend edition, fans have loved Janai.
