Kate Chastain Throws Shade At Former ‘Bravo’s Chat Room’ Co-Stars
Kate Chastain threw some pointed shade at her former Bravo’s Chat Room co-stars while appearing on her new show, The Traitors. The Below Deck chief stewardess spoke out about her experiences on both shows, during an interview with Ricky Cornish.
Ricky asked Kate to name which show had been the “tougher experience,” The Traitors, or Bravo’s Chat Room.
Kate, 39, who’s known for her blunt delivery, did not hesitate to name The Traitors as the superior show.
“Oh, I love you. Bravo’s Chat Room was so much more treacherous and traitorous,” Kate quipped, much to the amusement of her fellow guest, Shahs of Sunset personality, Reza Farahan.

Kate added that her current gig was a much better one.
Ricky suggested that perhaps the next season of The Traitors could feature Kate playing with her former “Chat Room” co-stars—Hannah Berner, formerly from Summer House, Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant, and Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Porsha Williams.
He added that such a reunion would produce a “really chaotic” show.
“The murders would be real,” Kate declared.
Bravo’s Chat Room debuted amid the COVID-19 pandemic, in September 2020. The four ladies, who were described as “some of the network’s most opinionated women,” chitchatted via Zoom about Bravo’s most explosive drama and general pop culture headlines.
Kate, who served as both a host and producer of the series, soon left the project and later took aim at her co-hosts. She gave an interview to Us Weekly, where she revealed that she “didn’t really feel like explaining my reason for leaving ‘Bravo’s Chat Room’ immediately after I left because I just felt like if I told the truth about why I left, people would assume I was just giving an excuse, but truth does always eventually come out.”
Kate took aim at Porsha and Hannah, telling the outlet that both women had their characters exposed on their respective shows.
“It was a miserable enough experience that I don’t even like thinking about it,” she confessed.
Bravo’s Chat Room has since been canceled.
The Traitors, a reality TV competition series, features 20 contestants competing for $250,000 while living in a Scottish castle. Alan Cumming hosts the Peacock series, which is currently available to stream on the platform.
Kate, who is currently pregnant with her first child, and Reza star alongside Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Brandi Glanville, and Summer House personality, Kyle Cooke.
In a separate interview, Kate noted that people were “just looking for reasons to hate us” amid an admission that they were “brats.”
In December, Kate announced that she was expecting her first child.
The Below Deck alum posted a mirror selfie to announce the news, showing off her growing baby bump in a form-fitting floral dress.
“I’m already planning so many birthday theme parties for you,” the Bravo alum captioned the snap.
Kate is due in May 2023 but isn’t sharing the identity of her baby’s father or the child’s gender.
“I am absolutely thrilled to become a mother,” Kate told PEOPLE. “It’s something I’ve always hoped for so this is truly a dream come true!”
