Kody Brown Rips Ex Christine — Claims She ‘Sh*t-Talked’ Janelle and Meri for Years

Kody Brown tears into third wife, Christine Brown, for supposedly mistreating his other wives, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown, in the second part of the Sister Wives: One-on-One special.

A released preview of Sunday’s episode features Kody taking aim at Christine while discussing the breakdown of the family with host, Sukanya Krishnan. 

“Christine s**t-talked Janelle and Meri for two years to me,” Kody says in the sneak peek. “This is why I was getting frustrated.”

The TLC patriarch alleges that Christine told him he was “sleeping with the enemy” during their 25-year marriage. Kody drops a bomb when he accuses Christine of sabotaging a potential reconciliation with his first wife, Meri. 

Kody says—“I’d talk about reconciling with Meri and Christine loses it.” 

Fans know that Kody and Meri divorced in 2014, so Kody could legally marry Robyn and adopt her children from her first marriage. Kody and Meri’s shifted relationship was rocked by scandal the following year after Meri became embroiled in a relationship with an online catfish. The marriage never recovered, but Meri remained steadfast in her commitment to her spiritual husband. 

Both Janelle and Christine cited issues with Kody’s favored relationship with his fourth and legal wife, Robyn, as TLC documented Christine’s decision to leave the marriage and the Brown family. 

“I’m going, ‘I understand that Janelle has certain nuances or quirks … but I love her and I’m still in this relationship with her,’” Kody says in the clip about Christine’s alleged past behavior. “And you’re telling me that she mistreated you.”

Sukanya asks Kody if he believes that Christine felt threatened by Janelle. 

Kody replies—“Not now!”

Viewers witnessed Janelle supporting Christine as she packed up her home to move to Utah. Both women have since shared glimpses of their ongoing friendship on social media. 

Despite the duo’s close friendship, Kody claims that Christine vented to him for years about her issues with Janelle. 

“I spent two years listening to it,” he comments in the preview. 

Kody and Christine announced their breakup in November 2021, after a 25-year spiritual marriage. Janelle confirmed in December that she and Kody had been “separated for several months.” Janelle and Kody share six children, Logan, 28, Maddie, 27, Hunter, 25, Garrison, 24, Gabriel, 21, and Savanah, 18. 

Christine is also featured in the preview, denying that she had ever been mean to anyone. 

“I wasn’t mean. I wasn’t mean to anybody,” Christine says. “I didn’t know that I had been shunning Robyn like Meri said I was doing. I didn’t know I had been doing those things.”

“I didn’t try to do anything like that. Maybe just not by letting her in as much as she wanted,” Christine adds. “That was really difficult. It seems like that was the trigger [that blew up our dynamic].”

Part 2 of Sister Wives: One-on-One airs on January 1, at 10 pm ET on TLC.
