Jen Shah Submits Letter From Superfan As Part Of Short Sentence Plea
Jen Shah is doing her best to reduce her prison sentence after pleading guilty to one count of wire fraud, including submitting letters from her family and fans.
Among the letters from her family that Shah, 49, submitted to the judge presiding over her case, one of them was from a huge fan. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star will be sentenced on January 6 for her role in the telemarketing scheme that targeted the elderly.
Shah could face up to 14 years in prison for her role in the fraud but is hoping the judge will be lenient and give her a maximum of three years in prison. She hopes the letters from Coach Shah, Omar, and Sharrieff Jr. will impact the judge’s sentencing next year.
In addition to those, Shah also submitted a letter from her super fan, Juan Bueno III, who said he met the reality TV star two years ago.
“I wanted to work with her on her show and get to know more about her. I felt from the beginning she was a person of good nature that had worked hard in life to produce a good home for her kids and her family,” he wrote.
He continued to say that they spoke on FaceTime and that is when he believed she was real. Juan also said they didn’t get to work together because of COVID.
“I thought that our connection would pass and the friendship was just for entertainment but I was wrong. Jen Shah has always shown me her character, that no matter what honesty is what is best in life even if it takes a moment to get there.”
Bueno said that despite still never meeting Shah, he believes Jen is a good person.
“I believe in Jen Shah, in her willingness for accountability, and her perseverance of making this right for her victims, family, friends, and mostly for her, her soul.”
Sharrieff Jr. said in his emotional letter that his mother has always modeled the ideals of generosity and caring. Jen’s son then defended the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star and said she had used her fame for good.
“My mother has developed a platform that she utilizes to support social justice movements, healthcare reform, and equality in multiple forms. She has volunteered to speak at panels on racial prejudice in our local community, and she has served as a spokeswoman for racial affinity groups across Utah. My mother has marched in support of her political beliefs and empowers others to do the same.”
