Alaskan Bush People’s Raiven Adams Splits from Husband Bear Brown Only Weeks Before Due Date
Alaskan Bush People’s Raiven Adams has split from her husband, Bear Brown, only weeks before she’s due to deliver their second son. The couple tied the knot less than a year ago, in January 2022.
Raiven took to her Instagram Story to share the news with her 67k followers.
She wrote — “Bear and I have separated. I am putting my health and my children first.”
The Discovery star confirmed that the duo plans to co-parent their two children peacefully.
Raiven said—“We will be co-parenting, no drama, and I won’t be sharing info past this point. Our kids will be well taken care of.”
Raiven did not elaborate on why the pair decided to call it quits, but fans know that the couple’s early marriage has been rocky.
In March 2022, Bear was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence assault, only two months after tying the knot with Raiven. He accepted a plea deal and reconciled with his wife at the end of April.
In February 2020, Raiven filed a restraining order against Bear while pregnant with their first child. She accused him of acting “erratic” and “abusive.” She alleged that in one incident he began “yelling and slamming things,” and prevented her from “leaving rooms.” Raiven claimed that Bear admitted that “cocaine” was the reason behind his behavior. Bear denied the drug allegation at the time. Raiven alleged that when she confronted him over his drug use he threatened to “kick her out” and began to “withhold food and money.” Court documents revealed that Bear threatened Raiven with a gun while bragging that “gun laws don’t apply” to him.
Raiven dropped the order only days ahead of the premature birth of their son, River. River was born at 34 weeks, in March 2020.
Bear filed for joint custody of their son, which sparked a bitter custody war. Raiven responded by requesting that Bear be allowed “restricted visitation” with the child. Bear and Raiven reached a custody agreement and later reconciled. They dated on and off before getting married in January, surrounded by family and friends.
Bear told PEOPLE about his big day — ”It feels really good to be a married man, I’ve loved Raiven a long time and it’s an honor and a privilege to finally call her my wife.”
Raiven has suffered pregnancy complications in recent months and was recently rushed to the hospital and put on bed rest.
The reality star later shared a baby bump snap on her Instagram Story, captioning the pic — “Ignore my wet hair but baby boy is getting big.”
In a Q&A session with fans, Raiven confirmed — “I went to the er again but thankfully we where able to stop contractions again. But I’m on bed rest until he is born and have weekly appointments.”
