“From the time [it was announced she was joining the cast],” she said, “I was on the receiving end of a torrent of [anti-Semitic] attacks. As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family.”
There was reported rumblings of behind-the-scenes drama, but the outlet reports that production sources downplayed the rumors. However, new details reveal that things went sideways a few weeks ago, as Lizzy and co-star, Brynn Whitfield, filmed a scene together.

This caused a lot of drama off-screen and during a call between between the ladies, they discussed racial slurs.
Brynn Whitfield, who is a black woman, used the N-word during the call, but rather than using the term “N-word” she said the word “ni–er” out right. For some reason Lizzy assumed Brynn would tell RHONY cast members that she had also used the N-word during the call.

Lizzy’s husband, Dr. Ira Savetsky, was outraged and reported the alleged incident to the show’s producers. However, when he told producers details of the call, Dr. Ira repeated the actual word rather than saying “the N-word.”
According to the outlet, Dr. Ira apologized, but it was too late to improve a bad situation and that’s what prompted “conversations” about the Orthodox couple leaving the show.
Aside from this incident, Lizzy swears she also received an immense amount of anti-Semitism hate online, and that the N-word incident alone was not the sole reason for her leaving the show.
