‘RHOP’ RECAP: Candiace Confronts Ashley With Bombshell Rumor About Michael

Welcome back to another explosive episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac! The ladies are still at Wendy Osefo’s Burn Session, where Candiace Dillard-Bassett and Ashley Darby just enacted WWIII! Ashley wants Candiace to speak up about Chris “allegedly” making the women uncomfortable and Candiace is standing 10 toes down that Chris is innocent. After Ashley accuses Chris of flirting in multiple DMs, Candiace drops a bomb that none of us saw coming! Candiace tells the table that Michael Darby likes to leave Ashley and suck some other man’s d**k! Mia Thornton isn’t drunk enough for this ish, and the entire table is stunned. Candiace admits in her confessional that she wasn’t supposed to talk about this situation, but Michael is one of her friends’ “client.” Karen Huger is sick to her stomach as Ashley claims Candiace is trying to deflect. 

Candiace tells Ashley to watch what she says as Wendy lights a piece of paper to cleanse the air, SMH. Ashley claims that she hears everything about Michael, and she processes and deals, but Candiace doesn’t do the same. Candiace feels Ashley is coming from a disrespectful marriage and Ashley makes a comment about the pendulum swinging back, which prompts Candiace to bring up knowing the Lord, LOL. Wendy wraps up the event and thanks the ladies for coming as Karen instructs Mia to leave with her. As everyone disperses, Robyn Dixon’s in the van waiting for everyone else, and Wendy checks in on Ashley. Ashley apologizes for creating a hostile scene and explains that she wanted to bring it up in front of Gizelle, that way Candiace could see that Chris may be too friendly with the ladies.

Candiace catches Gizelle Bryant alone and pulls her aside for a chat. Gizelle tries to soften Candiace up with talks of the view, but Candiace has only one thing on her mind. Candiace wanted to talk to Gizelle one on one and wants to make sure that she understands Gizelle’s feelings. Candiace recaps what Gizelle had already told her before asking Gizelle directly what happened that made her feel uncomfortable. Gizelle explains that she was in a room with a man who didn’t belong to her, with the door closed, and when she asked Chris to leave, he immediately did so. Gizelle says that was it but thought Candiace should know.

Candiace then asks for clarification on who decided to speak in Gizelle’s dressing room, and that’s where we get indecisive answers. Chris says Gizelle asked to speak in her room, whereas, Gizelle is saying it was Chris’s idea. A flashback shows the conversation Candiace and Chris had and that Chris suggested leaving the door open since they were alone. Gizelle states she doesn’t recall that part of the conversation but claims if that was the case then Chris is still in the wrong. Candiace is fed up and tells Gizelle her statement has malintent and wonders if Gizelle thinks Chris has bad intentions when they talked. Gizelle continues saying she doesn’t know but she wasn’t comfortable with Chris. In the van, Karen tells the ladies about Ashley claiming Chris flirted with someone else.

Ashley tells Wendy that she’s not trying to be vindictive and that the ladies need to stop with that narrative. Ashley explains that Deborah asked if Candiace and Chris were still together, based on the flirtatious nature from Chris. At the table, Candiace gets emotional as she tells Gizelle she could’ve called her and didn’t because Gizelle wanted to bring it up on their platform. Gizelle shakes her head in defense as Candiace continues going in on Gizelle and even tells Gizelle she’s the reason sexual assault victims don’t come forward! Gizelle’s really offended by that, but Candiace continues going in before they end the conversation with zero resolution. Ashley toasts Wendy for a great event as Candiace struggles to exit the venue.

Gizelle fills the ladies on the van in on the verbal spat between Ashley and Candiace and comments that Wendy can’t hold water. The next day, Ashley visits a lawyer to discuss the details of her separation from Michael. Ms. Thomas inquires about what brought Ashley in and Ashley recaps not being on the same page with Michael anymore. Ms. Thomas wonders if Ashley’s thought about child support and asks whether a prenup is in place. Ashley recaps that all of Michael’s wealth he had prior to Ashley, he would keep and that their eight-year anniversary was last month. 

Ashley tells Ms. Thomas that she and Michael have been separated for a year but still live together. Ashley tells her that Michael wants to send her a proposal in order to start the process without lawyers being involved. Ms. Thomas tells Ashley that a lot of trust has to be had to assume that Michael is willing to produce adequate numbers for Ashley or that he’ll hide assets. Ashley admits that Michael is the breadwinner, and Ms. Thomas tells Ashley that she’s not in a position to consider anything without the exchange of financial data. Ashley admits to stalling in this divorce process, but I need Ashley to stand up in her power! Ms. Thomas reveals that it’s always the breadwinner who wants to speed up the divorce process. Ashley asks Ms. Thomas if buying a house would be in her best interest, and Ms. Thomas disagrees. Michael can always take the house back and Ashley admits the meeting to be formative. 

Later, Mia goes to the spa and waits for Charrisse Jackson-Jordan and Jacqueline Blake. Once everyone arrives, Mia explains how much she loves Charrisse as the ladies get prepared for pedicures. Mia brings out the champagne while the ladies get pampered. Charrisse asks Mia about her health and Mia explains that she’s good for now but plans to have surgery later. Jacqueline butts in as Charrisse asks about Mia’s mother. Mia explains that her father died in prison and that her mother had drug abuse issues. Jacqueline comments about being like sisters with Mia, and thankfully, the champagne interrupts this fake moment. Mia makes a toast as she invites the ladies to Miami! Gizelle loves the idea and Candiace got work to do with Trina in Miami, anyway. Karen is going to spend her birthday down there and Mia rented a house for the girls! 

Three people will have to share a room, but thankfully, Charrisse can pick her room. Unfortunately, Wendy won’t have the same luck as Mia plans to get her lick back on Wendy. Mia wants to have fun, but come on — it wouldn’t be a show without a little mess. Wendy is at home with her daughter as Eddie Osefo joins them. Wendy’s trying to journal to reminisce about what she’s grateful for. Eddie sympathizes with Wendy as he asks her to slow down. Eddie checks in with Wendy regarding the restaurant and comments that her new business would put extra strain on their finances. Wendy agrees before quickly changing the subject to the Burn Session. Wendy recaps as Eddie asks if she took accountability for anything. Wendy says she did as she tells Eddie about the upcoming Miami trip. Eddie wonders if Mia and Wendy will be okay now and knows they’re filled with drama. 

We see Gizelle shopping for new clothes as she meets up with Robyn. Robyn and Gizelle shop around before Gizelle wonders if she needs to sage the house in Miami. Gizelle is worried about Candiace, and Robyn thinks Candiace has too much to worry about. Robyn admits to speaking with Candiace regarding the tweets, and before we know it, Ashley arrives. Ashley explains how Michael is in the Bahamas before chatting about the LLC. Michael, of course, turned the entire thing on Ashley and Robyn asked for clarification if Ashley made an offer on the house. Ashley states that no offer has been made and that her lawyer advised against buying a house with Michael. Robyn rejoices in someone else trying to open Ashley’s mind before Robyn wonders what happened at the winery. 

Gizelle recaps and asks about the comment Candiace made. Robyn admits that Candiace told her this story years ago and that Michael goes to a high-list worker. Ashley says it isn’t true as the green-eyed bandits are skeptical. Gizelle explains her conversation with Candiace and Robyn comes to Candiace’s defense while saying Candiace is dramatizing everything. Gizelle doesn’t want to talk to Chris anymore, and it’s clear this is going to get worst before it gets better. 

The next day, the ladies arrive at the airport ready for Miami! Karen says “Good Morning” to Charrisse as Karen turns and gives the camera a cynical look. Karen isn’t happy Charrisse is there but won’t let her ruin her birthday week. The ladies touchdown in Miami as Mia instructs everyone where to go. Mia tells the ladies in Car A how happy she is to be there as Charrisse wonders if there was a strategy by the way Mia arranged the ride. Wendy hopes to have a great room as she comments Mia being incorrect in the invite. Mia boasts about the house as Ashley hopes for a house that can accommodate everyone. Wendy fears someone may have to share, but the ladies would have to wait and see. Mia asks Gizelle about her dating age range and Gizelle wants to add a young boy to the group.

Karen wonders if Gizelle has a tribe and Gizelle admits to having three on her roster. The ladies finally arrive at the house, and the shade begins. Once at the house, the ladies are met with cocktails as they admire the beautiful house. Mia introduces the chef and it’s time to eat! Jacqueline teases Mia about flirting with the chef as Karen asks for help choosing her food. Mia reveals that she preselected rooms for everyone before heading to dinner. Wendy finds her room as Gizelle complains about sharing a room with Robyn, again. Mia and Jacqueline are sharing a room while Ashley’s alone in “The Players Club.” 

Charrisse complains about her room as Gizelle locates “The Hustlers Lounge.” As the rest of the ladies look around, Wendy asks Mia where Candiace’s room is as Ashley decides to play a little prank. Ashley hides Candiace’s room card in her pants, which reminds me of the Bad Girls Club, LOL. Ashley brings the green-eyed bandits in on the joke as Ashley decides to place Candiace in Wendy’s room with one small bed, LOL. Wendy wonders who took Candiace’s card and Ashley suggests Mia may have it before changing the subject to the scenery. Wendy is distracted by Robyn and Gizelle’s accommodations as Robyn and Ashley laugh at their secret activity. 

Wendy presses Mia about where Candiace is staying and Mia doesn’t care as Charrisse states she’ll stay at the hotel. Robyn doesn’t want to share a room either and wonders why others in the group don’t share beds. The ladies defend themselves, saying the green-eyed bandits have always been together; and soon, Gizelle and Ashley are taking shots. Mia is chatting with Gordon on the phone about nothing and Mia’s clearly drunk. Charrisse still needs her accommodation and Ashley offers to share her bathroom with Charrisse. Charrisse declines as Mia gets a call from Peter Thomas. Mia wants to bring the girls by Bar One but Peter voices that he has an issue with Wendy. Mia seems shocked and we get a clip that shows the upcoming altercation between Wendy and Mia. Be sure to come back next week to see it all go down on The Real Housewives of Potomac!
