Kelly Dodd Gearing Up for Custody Battle After Exposing Ex-Husband’s Explicit Text Messages!

Kelly Dodd is reportedly gearing up for a custody battle with her ex-husband, Michael Dodd. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum plans to file for full custody of their 16-year-old daughter, Jolie, amid an ongoing conflict with Michael and his girlfriend, Laura White. The former Bravo couple currently shares joint custody of the teenager. 

Kelly took to Instagram Monday to slam Michael, claiming that he “doesn’t care about his own kid.” She also alleged that he had been abusive toward her and her husband, Rick Leventhal. 

Kelly is reportedly at the end of her rope, amid the messy feud. 

“She’s been quiet for years for her daughter,” a source told Radar Online Tuesday. 

Friends alleged that Kelly had received “harassing” texts from Michael and Laura, claiming that the couple had been “coming after” the ex reality star for quite some time. 

“Every time they talk, there’s name-calling,” a second insider said, adding that Michael had supposedly been “bullying” Rick.

The outlet also reported that Laura had been involved in past legal drama, including a 2018 battery case and a recent eviction lawsuit. Both cases were eventually dismissed. 

Kelly exposed Michael’s messages on Instagram Monday, captioning the series of texts—“My Ex husband is a Real winner!! HERE IS THE EVIDENCE!! Doesn’t care about his own kid.”

Michael allegedly called Kelly a “f-cking stupid b-tch,” a “f-cking stupid piece of sh-t,” and a “wh-re” in the messages.

The former RHOC star alleged that Michael left Jolie to “fend for herself” on a school night, after agreeing to care for their daughter while she was out of town. She claimed that Michael left the teen unattended after he committed to being with her on the agreed-upon dates. 

Kelly reportedly fired off a text after learning that Michael had taken off for the desert with a friend.  

“I gave you the courtesy to let you know I’m out of town. You couldn’t give me the same courtesy? What the f-ck is wrong with you?” Kelly wrote to her ex. 

The source explained that one of Kelly’s friends agreed to care for Jolie at Kelly’s home, amid the former Bravo star’s concern for her child. 

“She’s worried about her daughter,” an insider said, adding that Kelly would be filing for full custody in the near future. 

This wasn’t the first time that Kelly publicly called out her ex’s parenting skills. Kelly blasted Michael back in November 2020, accusing him of ignoring their daughter over a six-month period. 

Kelly shared an alleged text message exchange on her Instagram Stories, busting Michael for not picking up their daughter, Jolie, who was 14 at the time, from a tennis match. 

“Hey Jolie has her last match at the club and I have a part can you pick her up from tennis at 3:00? Perhaps take her to dinner?” Kelly allegedly wrote in the message, to which Michael seemingly responded, “I can’t today, I’m busy.” 

“What kind of father doesn’t want to spend time wit his daughter? Hasn’t been with her in 6 mos. Thank god for @rickleventhal,” Kelly captioned the screen-grab.
