RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant Opens Up About Chris Bassett Allegations ‘This Has Happened To Me Before!’

Gizelle Bryant is clearing the air about her allegations against Chris Bassett after fan backlash!

During a recent Real Housewives of Potomac episode, Gizelle confronted Candiace Dillard about Candiace’s husband making her uncomfortable during the previous reunion. As per Bryant, Chris had asked her to talk privately in her room, but later on, Chris alleged that it was Gizelle who asked him to speak privately in her room. Candiace also accused her of coming after Chris as a setup for a storyline on the show. In a recent interview with Carlos King, on his podcast show Reality With The King, the Potomac star clarified her intentions when she came to Candiace with the sensitive information. 

When Carlos asked if Chris as a person made her uncomfortable or if it was the optics, Gizelle said it was both. She explained: “That evening, Chris was very drunk at that point of the night … We could have talked in the hallway. I didn’t get why he wanted to go to my room. So once we were there, it just made me feel uncomfortable … I have never said this man lured me. I’ve never said he preyed on me. I’ve never said that I was accusing him of sexual assault, even though the other side is talking real crazy.” Bryant also said that she didn’t think Chris would lie about who suggested they go into her room. 

“I wasn’t gonna say anything at all,” The OG Real Housewives of Potomac star added. “Because I feel like … This has happened to me before when it comes to a married man … but then as this season started, and he started DMing Ashley [Darby] and he DMs me, it just was like whoa, he’s doing too much and … his wife needs to know.” The mother of three also had no idea the situation would blow up and be this big. Gizelle also claimed that Candiace is trying to save face and said the singer is “emotionally very immature … She has a hard time processing anything … She’s emotionally like in high school.” 

Gizelle added that Candiace is not a “grown woman” because a grown woman would tell her partner to apologize. Gizelle also shared that she is in a great place with her ex who she still relies on. “Jamal’s my guy and he will always be.” She also updated fans on her love life and said she is dating but not exclusively since she would rather focus on her kids.
