RHOP: Candiace Dillard Gets Backlash Over Comments About Gizelle Bryant!
Real Housewives of Potomac star, Candiace Dillard, is getting backlash for her tweets about Gizelle Bryant!
In a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle opened up to Candiace about an incident with Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassett. Bryant told the singer that she felt weird when Chris asked her for a private conversation during last season’s reunion. Gizelle said she didn’t feel good because they were alone in her dressing room when he complained about his wife. The two Potomac stars are not on good terms if Candiace’s tweets after the episode aired are anything to go by.
Candiace also revealed in the recent episode that the situation with Gizelle was stressing her out to the point that it affected her process to freeze her eggs. Dillard tweeted more about the situation, “Word 2the wise when embarking on an egg freezing journey: don’t do it while shooting a show w/ desperately poor unfortunate souls who will cry sexual assault for ratings. That was some of the hardest terrain I’ve ever climbed realizing outside factors could derail my journey.” A lot of Bravo fans sided with Candiace and didn’t agree that Chris meant to make Gizelle feel uncomfortable.
However, they didn’t agree that Gizelle accused Chris of sexual assault. One person tweeted at Candiace, “Did she cry sexual assault or did she just say she was uncomfortable being in a room alone with a married man? There’s a difference!” Another fan replied to the R&B singer’s tweet, “Being uncomfortable vs sexual ssault is night and day you should stop being so over dramatic becuse your cast mate explained how she felt. It doesn’t matter how many times she came over & had dinner, in a hotel room discussing his wife is hella inappropriate.” A third person tweeted, “Sexual assault? You watching the same show we are? Or making shit up for sympathy?”
Chris Bassett reacted to Gizelle’s accusations on Twitter and said, “I am now convinced these women were bored as fuck..got nothing going on, and just had to make up some bullshit. In NO WAY do i believe production had anything to do with this…just some miserable ass women on their own.” Real Housewives of Potomac star, Mia Thornton, had also told Robyn Dixon that Chris kept staring at her during Karen Huger’s party; however, producers showed the scene and he was looking in the opposite direction!
