SPOILERS: ‘Married At First Sight’ Season 14 Couples That Are Still Together!
Total strangers come together in marriage on the Lifetime show, Married at First Sight, after a third party links partners based on key personality traits. The show documents each couple’s wedding ceremony and the subsequent drama that often unfolds, as the husband and wife get to know each other. While relationships often crash and burn, a whopping four out of five couples who swapped vows during Season 14 chose to stay together at the conclusion of the season.
However, only one couple ultimately survived outside the reality TV spotlight.
Jasmina Outar and Michael Morency, Katina Goode and Olajuwon Dickerson, Lindsey Georgoulis and Mark Maher, and Noi Phommasak and Steve Moy all said “I do” on their big days, but three couples later parted ways. Only Katina Goode and Olajuwon Dickerson got off the reality TV rollercoaster as a united married couple, and their relationship is reportedly going strong.
“The show does really work as long as you both are there for the right reasons and you really truly want to be married,” Katina shared with E! News. “If you are signing up and you have it in your mind that you’re going to see it through and that you’re going to be committed, it can be successful.”
Olajuwon added—”Focus on your marriage. Really get to know your person. Don’t sit there and pick on their flaws. See what value they bring to your life, and that’s how you grow.”
Katina marked the couple’s one-year anniversary on Instagram, in July.
The Lifetime personality wrote—“We’ve officially made it to 1 whole year together. The memories we’ve built this past year have been full of laughter, adventure, and love.”
“We’ve become not only lovers but the best of friends. When things got difficult for us, instead of running away from the fire we held hands and walked through it together. On our wedding day, we made promises to each other that a year later we can look back on and say we kept. Thank you for loving me wouldn’t trade you for the world. I love you ❤️.
The duo even added a furry friend to their family, a cat named Tiger.
Katina and Olajuwon had a bumpy start but have since developed a tight bond.
“I got to meet my soulmate, my partner, and you know what?” Olajuwon shared. “When I look back at the show, I have grown so much. I don’t think I’d be the man who I am today. I know I wouldn’t, and I needed help getting to the next chapter of being a better me, and I couldn’t have reached it without this experience.”
Katina chimed in—“I’m most grateful that I got the opportunity to meet him. I had the opportunity to find someone that I could fall in love with and build a life with and someone who is on the same page as me with my values.”
