‘Married to Medicine’ RECAP: Toya and Quad Nearly Come to Blows Over Cheating Allegations!
Welcome back to a brand-new episode of Married to Medicine! The crew is still in Blue Ridge and is being taught some new sex techniques by Taylor, an erotic educator. Taylor begins by asking who’s been married for the least amount of time, and Audra and Martin Curry take the lead. Taylor wants to know if the ladies ask their men what type of sex they like and she gives the definition of non-monogamy relationships. Taylor explains that she has a husband and three boyfriends, and the room is shocked! Dr. Heavenly Kimes comments that she doesn’t add extra people in the bedroom and the other couples second that thought. Taylor gives the couples a box of sex goodies to take home, and soon, Dr. Eugene Harris explains a situation in the ER where a patient had a steel cock ring stuck on his member for two days. Goodness!
Taylor brings out a pillow for Dr. Simone Whitmore and Cecil Whitmore to try out. Cecil gets too excited as he shows us what he’s working with, LOL. Curtis Walters and Dr. Jackie Walters try out the pillow next, and Jackie grabs a paddle to spank Curtis. The crew thanks Taylor as she finishes up and the couples look a lot happier with their goodies. The men head outside as the women stay indoors to sort out their issues, again. Cecil asks the fellas what they thought about Taylor and Eugene liked most of it besides the polyamorous part. Cecil doesn’t feel like Taylor was pushing her ideas onto them and Heavenly thinks it was all BS. Toya, not wanting to be judged, makes a comment that Taylor may have opened her marriage so that her family could stay together.
Of course, Quad thinks Toya’s cheating on Eugene, but no one believes that but Quad. Having been married for 25 years, Simone knows that marriages have difficult times and Jackie commends Anila Sajja, Toya, and Audra for handling their issues. Jackie focuses her sight on Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and Heavenly, and we know the ish is about to hit the fan. Contessa doesn’t want things to be contentious with Heavenly and Heavenly compliments Contessa on her beauty before commenting on not dealing with BS because of a man. The room just got a little tenser as the ladies prepare for Contessa’s wrath.
Contessa makes it clear that who she’s with is her choice and tells Heavenly to keep her opinions about Dr. Scott Metcalfe to herself. Contessa can’t say it enough but Heavenly doesn’t back down on the fact that Contessa bad-mouthed Scott all last year. Heavenly tells Contessa that she talks too much as Contessa attempts to leave before the two get into a brief screaming match. Heavenly tells Simone that she meant every word on her YouTube channel and calls Toya a b*tch as Toya tries to talk some sense into her. Heavenly walks away and Toya begins telling Heavenly that she’s childish before shading Heavenly and her wig.
Toya calls Heavenly trifling as the men ignore their screams and continue their conversation. The men update Dr. Damon Kimes on Heavenly’s apology to Toya as Dr. Kiran Sajja acknowledges Toya and Anila’s breakthrough. Jackie checks in on Heavenly and it’s clear that Heavenly hasn’t learned any conflict resolution, SMH. Heavenly thinks Contessa is upset at her life and Jackie just wants the ladies to get back in a better space. In the living room, Toya and Simone chat with Quad about the rumor that’s been going around about Toya. Toya reveals that Anila spilled the beans about Quad inviting Zaina in order to bring the rumor to the group. Quad admits that she repeated the rumor but didn’t originate it. Quad reveals that Anila started the rumor but Toya hits Quad with a Catch-22 by bringing up the rumor that Quad slept with her contractor.
Simone admits to Quad that she repeated the rumor but Quad only has smoke for Toya. Quad claims she didn’t give up no “vajayjay” to afford her house but Simone ain’t believing that. Quad is tired of her name being dragged in the mud and Toya has had enough! “Quad, you’ve been a liar since I met you,” Toya said as Quad gets increasingly upset. Toya tells Quad that she doesn’t feel bad for her and won’t waste any tears on her. Yes, Toya! Quad jumps up like she’s going to do something, and security comes just as Toya tells Quad that she’s jealous of her.
The group separates them as Quad rants on about nothing. The next morning, the crew is getting ready as Heavenly checks in with Damon about what the fellas did last night. The fellas were glad everything was coming together but the feeling soon subsided when they heard the women arguing. Jackie and Simone chat about being excited for the weekend and being surprised that things went left. Jackie wanted Heavenly to sit and listen but thinks Contessa forgot that she shared a bunch of information that she might not remember. Jackie understands Contessa’s point of not speaking on each other’s husbands and Simone disagrees with Jackie’s point of view.
Simone feels like if we’re friends, then you shouldn’t put their information on blast. Scott and Contessa are wearing blue to symbolize their mood and Contessa’s done with Heavenly, at this point. Eugene heads back to the ER for another shift and Toya thinks Quad is taking her frustrations out on her. Jackie brings church to Blue Ridge as the pastors come in to set up the church services. Quad, Anila, and Kiran chat about the rumor surrounding Toya but Anila doesn’t admit to throwing Quad under the bus. Once everyone meets in the living room, the group has a cute moment discussing Black churches and the many theatrics within them.
The group enjoys a shady sermon from the pastor as Quad throws subliminal shade toward Toya. Afterward, the crew hugs each other before heading to brunch. Anila tells the table that she got emotional as Jackie wishes she could’ve done a solo. Audra thanks Jackie and Simone for inviting them and Audra and Martin reveal their pregnancy to the group. The crew is excited for the new addition as Heavenly names herself the Godmother, SMH. Once brunch is done the group says their goodbyes before heading back to Atlanta. Heavenly learned that she needs to be more careful with others but won’t apologize again, LOL. Jackie thinks some of the friendships were resolved and is confident they’ll find a solution… eventually. Be sure to come back next week for part one of the Married to Medicine reunion!
