‘Married At First Sight UK’ Fans Are Slamming Matt After He Had Sex With Whitney Instead Of Onscreen Wife, Gemma!

Married At First Sight UK fans are calling Matt Murray a hypocrite after he cheated on his wife on the show, Gemma Rose.

Fans of the E4 reality show are furious at Matt, 32, because he got in bed with Whitney Hughes weeks after the star claimed that he wants to get to know someone first before getting in bed with them. The secret affair was revealed during a tense dinner party in front of his wife, Gemma, and it led to the two fighting. Viewers couldn’t believe Matt slept with Whitney,31, only an hour after meeting each other when he had insisted that he and his wife Gemma should take things slow in the bedroom.

One person tweeted, “Matt literally hated how Gemma spoke about sex then speaks exactly the same to Whitney how Gemma spoke to him confused.” Another fan of the show said, “Matt literally two episodes ago, ‘I like to take my time and if sex happens, great.’ Matt this episode ‘I asked Whitney to spend the night after spending approximately an hour with her.'” A third added about the subject, “Thought Matt wanted to build emotions before having sex!?!? Oh dear Whitney, you’re just smash & dash.” 

Following the backlash, Murray clarified that he didn’t actually cheat on Gemma, but production just wanted it to look that way. The MAFS UK star said producers made him do some things during that time that he still regrets. Matt wrote on his Instagram Stories, “So, if I have any regrets over last night’s episode, which I knew it would come, it was that production asked me not to speak to Gemma until the dinner party. Stupidly, out of frustration, I listened and that was the first time I had actually listened to production and did what they asked me to.” 

Matt also explained that he and Rose had broken up for a week prior to his filming the scene with Whitney. “We had called it a day after the commitment ceremony that you watched and we agreed to be friends. Then it got heated again the next day and we just didn’t speak since, but to put someone in a position where they are finding out in front of all those people, in hind’s sight, it’s f***ing awful. It is absolutely awful and – regardless of whether Gemma and I were getting on – that is my biggest regret of the production.”

It was alleged that Whitney and Matt had cheated on their partners, Duka Cav and Gemma Rose. Fans even thought Whitney confirmed this rumor after she posted a photo with a mystery man in her car who had a ring on his hand identical to the one Matt has been seen wearing.
