‘Sister Wives’ Maddie Brown Brush Admits She’s ‘Anxious’ in Third Pregnancy Update!

Maddie Brown Brush, daughter of Sister Wives couple, Janelle and Kody Brown, shared an update on her pregnancy journey with fans and followers this week, comparing her third time around to her last pregnancy.

Maddie showed off her blossoming baby bump in a cute snap and shared about her experience thus far, in the post’s caption. 

“18 weeks and some change! It’s definitely a weird day and a big one! Today is anatomy scan day!” Maddie wrote.

The TLC mom continued, looking back at her second child, Evangalynn Kodi’s anatomy scan. 

She wrote—“The last anatomy scan I walked into left us with so many questions. I have been feeling a little anxious about this one. Nothing quite like the news that your baby won’t have all her fingers, toes and maybe more to change your excitement of anatomy scans.”

Maddie added—”I wish I could go back and hug that mama and tell her that her daughter comes out the womb smiling and a healthy spit fire! All that worry I spent seems so wasted now.”

She asked fans to weigh in on her third baby’s gender, writing—”What do you think Baby brush #3 will be? Boy or girl? I have no particular cravings except I really like tacos and that’s not normal.”

Maddie shared that her current pregnancy had been a different experience from the other two.

She shared—“I had mild morning sickness. no heartburn this time! (Thank goodness!) such a different pregnancy than the last two that I’m at a loss.”

Maddie’s dramatic birth experience was featured on a past season finale episode of Sister Wives. Maddie and her husband, Caleb Brush, revealed after the delivery that their newborn daughter was missing three fingers, a toe, and her fibula. 

Evie, 3, was diagnosed in the womb with oligodactyly, a congenital anomaly defined as the presence of fewer than five fingers on a hand. 

Maddie is also mom to five-year-old son, Axel James. 

In August 2020, Evie, who was one at the time, had her foot amputated and a hand “clipped.”

Maddie posted a photo of her daughter on Instagram, revealing the child’s bandaged leg and arm. 

“Evie received some major gifts for her 1st birthday,” Maddie wrote. “Her surgeon laid the groundwork for her new foot and mobility it will bring, by way of a boyd amputation. Another gave her some extra mobility in her hand, by clipping her webbing she had in her right hand.”

Maddie spoke out about her daughter’s condition in October 2019, revealing   that the couple was initially “shocked” by the fibular aplasia, tibial campomelia and oligosyndactyly (FATCO) syndrome diagnosis. FATCO is a rare genetic disorder that affects bone formation in utero.
