Denise Richards Talks Possible ‘RHOBH’ Return & RIPS Lisa Rinna!
Denise Richards said she is willing to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills even if Lisa Rinna is still around.
In a recent interview with Jeff Lewis on his Sirius XM show, Denise addressed rumors that she wasn’t willing to film alongside Lisa Rinna. Denise, 51, and Rinna had been close friends before she joined the Bravo reality show, but that all changed when they began filming. The actress squashed the rumors saying, “No that is not true!” When Jeff asked Denise if she would return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with the current cast including Lisa Rinna, she said, “Definitely! I would be fine working with Lisa and filming with her. I never said I wouldn’t return because of her!”
Denise also spoke about the rough ending of her longtime friendship with Rinna which played out during her last season of the show. Their friendship became strained after Rinna kept poking about an alleged hookup that occurred between Denise and former RHOBH star, Brandi Glanville. Richards said, “Lisa Rinna, she plays dirty and she can be really nasty. That’s just something to know about her with being on the show.”
Denise also clarified another rumor that alleged she didn’t respond to Rinna’s apology text. “I did respond. I responded right away.” Despite responding, Denise admitted that she hasn’t seen or spoken to Rinna since leaving the franchise. She also doesn’t think their 20-year-old friendship can ever be the same again.
Denise said, “I could never be close friends with her after what happened. Also, I’ve watched a few of the last episodes and seen how she’s been, and how she is on social media — I just don’t agree with it. It’s hard to be friends with someone like that.” The ‘Wild Things’ actress, like a few Bravo fans, also said that despite Rinna’s apologies, she continues to behave questionably.
“I think if you apologize, which she apologized to me while we were actually filming, but then she just went back to the same behavior, so that was hard for me to believe that the apology was genuine.” Denise also said during the live interview that even though she no longer talks to Rinna, she still stays in touch with other RHOBH cast members.
Richards said that she is still friends with Kyle Richards and Garcelle Beauvais, and has met Sutton Stracke and really likes her. She didn’t hesitate to say “yes” when she was asked if she would come back to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “Yeah. I’ve always said, Never Say Never,” she noted.
