Diana Jenkins Blasted Over Statement Following Online Bullying!
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, star Diana Jenkins, has made a statement about Garcelle Beauvais’ son getting bullied online!
Garcelle’s son, Jax Nilon, 14, has been getting a lot of hate and racist comments online following her feud with some of her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars, including Diana Jenkins. Jax has since gone private on his Instagram account to get away from the trolls. In a recent statement, Jax said that he just wants to be viewed as “a normal kid” and that he didn’t sign up for the show nor does he have anything to do with its drama. He also thanked everyone who supported him and reported the nasty accounts coming after him. Fellow Real Housewives like Lisa Rinna also stepped out to condemn the trolls and support Garcelle Beauvais.
Diana Jenkins also reacted to the situation a day later in a statement on her Instagram page. Diana, 49, began by directing fans to an article she wrote in 2010. “Please read article I wrote in 2010 . Link is in bio . It might give you more insight into who I am as person and as a mother .” The article linked by the Bravo star was titled, “Civil War or Genocide? Ask the Mothers of Srebrenica.”
Jenkins then called out the nasty viewers who were coming after Jax. “I am appalled at recent comments aimed at the child of one of my fellow RHOBH cast members. No one should be treated this way, especially children. Sadly, this was not the first time RHOBH children have been attacked. This has to stop. Leave our kids alone.”
Despite calling out the trolls, fans didn’t like that Diana used the moment to promote something she wrote. One fan said, “It feels like a microaggression. To minimise the awful thing that Garcelle’s son experienced.” Another fan pointed out that Diana disabled the comments from her post because she knows her response would be problematic. The fan said, “I don’t know why it’s necessary to link the article. Just condemn the treatment of Garcelle’s son and move on.”
A third fan said, “I literally saw this and went, ‘So, you’re turning a moment about a kid being cyber bullied by your stans about you??? Really?’ I also find it funny that they always have to bring back ‘this isn’t the first time this happened’ to almost soften the blow. No kid should be bullied but I just found it interesting they bring up previous interactions.”
