Kathy Griffin Asks Fans to Interpret Cancer Scan After Doctor ‘Ghosts’ Her!
Kathy Griffin asked her fans some serious questions about her health on Instagram after she couldn’t reach her doctors.
Kathy, 61, posted screenshots of her medical notes on Instagram and Twitter because she was unable to reach her doctors. “OK, I know this is crazy but I cannot get an oncologist on the phone and the surgeon who did my half of lung removal has ghosted me,” she wrote. The comedian explained that she was sharing her scan results on social media in the hopes that another specialist will give her some insight.
Kathy continued, “I’m putting my scan results on Instagram in hopes that somebody will put it under an oncologist’s nose and send me some sort of interpretation in English of what’s going on with my post-operation situation! Social media can be used for good, dammit!”
Some of Kathy Griffin’s fans rushed to her aid and commented to assure her that she doesn’t have cancer. One fan said, “That’s a pretty good looking report Kathy (as someone who worked in imaging.” Other followers slammed her for sharing her personal health records. A fan commented, “Just about the worst thing you could’ve done was ask social media for a medical opinion. I mean, I know that’s where all the best medical experts are found, as COVID has taught us, but I think it’s best you see a Dr.”
In August 2021, Kathy Griffin told fans she had been diagnosed with lung cancer and was going to undergo surgery. “I’ve got to tell you guys something. I have cancer. I’m about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed. Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked! The doctors are very optimistic as it is stage one and contained to my left lung.” Griffin continued, “I should be up and running around as usual in a month or less. It’s been a helluva 4 years, trying to get back to work, making you guys laugh and entertaining you, but I’m gonna be just fine.”
In a recent update, Kathy Griffin told her fans while recovering from her surgery, her husband, Randy Bick injured himself. She explained in an Instagram video, “After a while, like maybe a full minute, I realize it’s my poor husband screaming my name from the kitchen in a weird voice, because he was making his lunch and he sliced his freaking hand open. Like, bad.” Thankfully, Kathy explained that she managed to call 911 despite barely being able to walk and he was.”
