Erika Liles Joining ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac!’
Erika Liles might be joining the next season of The Real Housewives of Potomac as a housewife if reports are anything to go by.
According to Media Take Out, a Bravo insider says that producers are seeking out socialite Erika Liles, 49, to join The Real Housewives of Potomac. Since season 7 of the reality show has already been filmed, the network is thinking of asking her to join the following season. The insider said, “We really love Erika, she has a good name, a great storyline, and she has REAL money – unlike other housewives.” The socialite is a good pick for a housewife since she is friends with the likes of Tina Knowles and Oprah Winfrey. If Erika is to join The Real Housewives of Potomac, her recent divorce from her millionaire husband is a great storyline that would pull in viewers.
Erika was married to co-founder and CEO of 300 Entertainment, Kevin Liles until she announced their divorce last spring in an Instagram post. Kevin is estimated to have a net worth of $70 million which he earned through his label that has worked with stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Mary J Blidge, and Young Thug.
Erika captioned her post, “6 weeks ago, I made the decision to end my marriage, this is not the future I envisioned. However in life you are always presented with situations that force you to make decisions. In decision making you must strive to remain true to your morals and core values.” Erika and Kevin got married in 2010 and share two children together, Genevieve and Valentina.
Erika has been living her best life since her divorce and hanging out with her girlfriends including Real Housewives of Potomac star, Gizelle Bryant, and Chris Rock’s ex-wife, Malaak Compton-Rock. Since Erika and Gizelle are long-time friends, producers are hoping she might help convince her to join the Real Housewives. The insider said, “We’ve reached out to Erika and offered her a spot. She hasn’t said yes, but it seems like she’s leaning towards a yes. [Hopefully] Gizelle can convince her to join the show.”
Gizelle and Erika have been friends for more than 25 years. While speaking about her bestie, Bryant said, “We went to college together. She pledged my sorority, I pledged her, and we’ve been friends ever since. She’s just somebody that if you want to go into business, you want her on your team. Period. And she’s a bad one. She’s a baddie “
