Lisa Rinna Ripped By Actress for “Vile” Social Media Behavior!
Lisa Rinna spoke out about her poor social media behavior during an August 3 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, but one famous fan didn’t wait to hear excuses before ripping into the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
Rinna was slammed by English actress, Denise Welch, ahead of her WWHL appearance for leaning on her mother’s death as an excuse to lash out at others online. Welch is known for her roles on ‘Coronation Street,’ ‘Waterloo Road,’ and ‘Hollyoaks.’ She is also a regular panel member on the British talk show, ‘Loose Women.’
Rinna tweeted that her drink of choice on WWHL would be in honor of her mother, Lois Rinna, who died in November 2021. The Bravo star tweeted—“I’m drinking a rum and Coca Cola in a short glass on #WWHL tonight in honor of Lois. I hope you’ll all join me and have one as well.”
Welch replied to Rinna’s message, writing—“I lost my dad in September. It didn’t make me to vile to everyone!! You can’t excuse your behaviour and hide behind your loss. Your mum would be horrified. I used to adore you!!”
Rinna did not respond to Welch’s comments.
Lois passed away last year after suffering a stroke at the age of 93. Rinna’s mother made occasional appearances on RHOBH and was adored by the cast. The show covered Lois’ death, but Rinna was not happy that Bravo only devoted one episode to her passing.
“I got one episode of grace,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “That’s it. Lois deserved and deserves much more. Shame on everyone.”
Welch’s father, Vin Welch, died on September 28, 2021.
The actress wrote on Instagram, at the time—“After making a miraculous recovery recently from major surgeries, pneumonia plus his existing pulmonary fibrosis was more than even he could take.”
She added—“I can’t quite function as I’m so grief stricken, but I know he meant so much to so many people, even those who’d never met him… He loved life and lived it to the full like no other.”
Rinna copped to her poor social media antics during her WWHL appearance.
“I’m such a freaking mess, I’m a freaking mess,” the 59-year-old reality star told host, Andy Cohen. “You can call me what you want!”
“A disaster,” the Bravo executive producer agreed. “A double disaster.”
“Call me that! I am! It’s true,” she said. “Andy, I’ve just been a nightmare right now, that’s all I can tell you. I have been a flipping nightmare. I know it, I acknowledge it, I have tried to fix it as much as I can. I am fully aware. I’m self-aware that I’m a mess right now, I’m just a mess. So let’s hope it gets better.”
Last month, Rinna was hit by backlash after she made a dicey comment about the cast of The Real Housewives of Dubai on her Instagram Stories. The reality star later offered a weak apology for her Instagram tirade, blaming her actions on grief following the death of her mother.
“I have had a really rough time of it I think you’ve seen how hard this has hit me,” she wrote. “I’m sorry if I’ve raged on you, about you — it really has nothing to do with any of you.”
“I never thought I would feel this way. I really thought grief would be about sadness and pain but it’s so much more,” Rinna explained. “I am really struggling, I just never thought it would feel like this but here it is. Losing my Mom has really hit me hard. Thank you for your patience with me I know it’s not easy to have warm fuzzies for me right now but I’ll get through this and hopefully come out the other side stronger and better. Thank you for your support and your love. I so so appreciate it.”
