Carlos King TRASHES ‘Real Housewives Of Dubai,’ Calls Them Copycats & Phonies!
Carlos King is not impressed by The Real Housewives of Dubai. King dissed the Bravo franchise, which premiered on June 1, during a recent appearance on ‘Reasonably Shady,’ the podcast hosted by Real Housewives of Potomac stars, Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon.
The former Love & Hip Hop producer didn’t hold back when asked to weigh in on Bravo’s first international ‘Housewives’ franchise, revealing that he was largely unimpressed by the new cast. King even accused the ladies of studying past Bravo stars and pilfering their personalities.
King quipped—“Let’s talk about The Real Housewives of Dubai, which I like to say The Real Housewives of bye-bye.”
He continued—“For me, those women have studied every single housewife, and it’s hard for me to get into them because I don’t think they’re being themselves.”
Gizelle and Robyn went on to mention supermodel, Chanel Ayan, labeling her the only “interesting” cast member on the show. King pointed to Chanel as a specific example of a cast member who tries too hard to “be the moment.”
He explained—“The thing is this: when you look at someone like Chanel on Dubai, you’re already interesting….You’re gorgeous, you have this interesting look, everything about your life to me is interesting. You don’t have to try hard to be the moment.”
He added—“Just be you…..You already have it aesthetically. So Miss Thing, go into the scene and make magic happen.”
King, the CEO of Kingdom Reign Entertainment, has been the force behind several unscripted reality shows. He is a former producer of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and also produced the New Jersey franchise.
King wrapped his thoughts by giving Robyn and Gizelle kudos for keeping it real and just being themselves on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“That’s the reason why, in my opinion, and this is no shade, let’s talk about it… That’s why Potomac became great,” he said.
Last month, Chanel spoke out about how she’d like to come across to viewers, during an appearance on the ‘Getting Real with Housewives’ podcast.
“I just want people to see that I’m a good mom and that’s my pride and joy. I love my husband. I also want them to see that I am an entrepreneur,” the reality star said.
Chanel added—“I don’t take myself seriously whatsoever, I’m a free bird and a free spirit, but a very loyal friend and loving mom. So, I want them to see that side of me and to see that I just don’t give a f—k. I say whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want.”
