Erika Jayne Calls Off Divorce To Avoid Paying Alimony!

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Erika Jayne, has called off her divorce from former lawyer, Tom Girardi.

Erika Jayne announced her divorce from Tom Girardi in November 2020 after being together since 1999. Their announcement came shortly after Tom was charged with embezzling money from his clients to fund his lavish lifestyle with Erika. Since then, Tom filed for bankruptcy and moved out of his Pasadena mansion and into a senior living facility. 

Despite filing the documents to get legally separated from Tom, Erika is still a married woman. She revealed details of her status during the July 20 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Jayne said, “It’s ironic, but if I was divorced from Tom, I’d have to pay him alimony.” That means she hasn’t gone through with the paperwork needed to finalize her divorce from Girardi. She continued, “I’ll stay married. Thanks!” While speaking to Lisa Rinna, she spoke more about her current relationship with the disgraced lawyer. 

Erika told Lisa that Tom called to check up on her after he found out she got COVID. However, the ‘Pretty Mess’ author admitted that sometimes, when they speak, Tom thinks she is someone else. Jayne went on to explain to her co-star that she knows Girardi in a safe place, but their conversations are not a good sign. “I’ve been down this road with my grandmother. It doesn’t get better. It only gets worse from here.” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also dished to Rinna that now isn’t the best time for her to get a divorce from the disgraced lawyer, despite her initial plans.

Erika said that Tom’s legal team dropped their divorce lawyer probably because they can’t afford to pay his legal fees. The Bravo star continued, “Also, too, I can’t get a divorce right now. I’m legally separated, so my life has moved on and I’m separated, but I can’t get a divorce right now, there’s so much legal s**t going on. It’s a weird time and I’m really ready for it to be over.” Real Housewives fans reacted to Erika not wanting a divorce on Twitter. One viewer said, “Hey #erikajayne Instead of worrying about paying alimony if you divorce Tom Why not pay some towards the victims you lived off of for years? Oh wait you don’t give a $hit about them.”
