Jennifer Aydin Reconciles With Mom After Family Drama On ‘RHONJ!’

Jennifer Aydin confirms her relationship with her mother, Josephine Altinel, has gotten better after their drama. 

While on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jennifer’s family drama has played out on screen, especially the animosity between her parents. Aydin’s mother, Josephine, was upset with her daughter when she invited her father, John, to live with them during the early months of the COVID pandemic. John Altinel being invited to stay at the couple’s New Jersey mansion caused a falling out between Jennifer and her mother. 

Despite that, the mother and daughter duo made up after her 2021 trip back to Turkey where she also underwent plastic surgery. According to Page Six, Jennifer got a nose job and a since-reversed chin implant. An insider added that while she was there, her mother took care of her while she healed from the nose job. They said about Aydin and her mother’s issues: “They didn’t speak about it, they just let it go.” 

After the trip to Turkey, Jennifer and Josephine seem closer than ever. Earlier this year, The Real Housewives of New Jersey,star celebrated her mother for beating cancer. She wrote on her Instagram, “Time to celebrate — my mother is officially breast cancer free! Thank you to all the amazing staff and doctors from [The Valley Hospital] that has been with and will be with us [through] every step of the way.” She also told fans about the follow-up treatments her mother will be receiving for the next five years to stop cancer from returning. 

On June 29, Josephine was also spotted supporting her daughter when they attended Maimonides Health’s third annual Battle for Brooklyn charity softball game. Bravo cameras were present as Aydin’s mother cheered her on from the dugout. Jennifer and her mother are expected to return to season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey which is currently in production. 

Jennifer also told Page Six that during the game, the new season will see her and Bill getting back on track. She said they are doing well as a couple and were never really the problem. “Bill and I have worked through all of that. It’s just having to live through it publicly and really my kids, my kids were really the ones [affected].” During season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, it had been revealed that Bill had an affair with a pharmaceutical rep.
