The Wendy Williams Show Erased From YouTube!
Fans of The Wendy Williams Show were shocked when they went online to find the iconic show nowhere to be found!
As of now, The Wendy Williams Show website was scrapped from the internet. Not only that but all of the show’s social media channels had been deleted. This comes only a few weeks after the show officially came to an end on June 17. Wendy Williams’ show had been on the air for close to 14 seasons before its cancellation. The show’s Instagram and YouTube accounts, which contained years worth of content from Wendy Williams, cannot be found.
Many of Wendy’s fans took to Twitter to complain about the former host’s content being deleted on social media platforms. One person said, “They are trying to erase Wendy Williams’ legacy right in front of our eyes. They know her YouTube channel is our last memory of her iconic talk show. There is no good reason for her to delete her channel.” Another fan added, “Not them deleting the Wendy Williams YouTube channel and acting like her show never existed. Debmar Mercury is trash. Unless there is something legal going on that we’re unaware of, there was no reason to delete that channel.”
A third fan of the Wendy Williams Show had this to say: “Taking down the Wendy Williams’ Show’s YouTube channel is so disrespectful to her legacy and removes a massive stream of monetization for Wendy that she deserved.” Fans of the show have been upset for a while at how everything is being handled. A few days ago, Twitter fans dragged the show’s production for saying they will throw Wendy’s memorabilia into the trash since she had not come to pick them up.
Luckily, Wendy’s manager, Will Selby, confirmed that they had taken the host’s valuables including her wigs and iconic purple chair from the studio before they were thrown out. “That was [Wendy’s] and it signifies the old chapter closing as we start the new one. We are going to take it and that will be part of her new show.” Williams said that she is planning on moving on to podcast after several years on daytime television. She added the pace of a podcast will be better suited for her and her health condition instead of going to film at the studio almost every day. Sherri Shepherd is set to replace Wendy Williams with her own self-titled show, Sherri, that will premiere in the fall in the same time slot.
