90 Day Fiance’s Paul Staehle Shoots Down Reports That He And Son Are ‘Missing!’

90 Day Fiancé alum, Paul Staehle, and his young son, Pierre, were reported MIA last week, but Paul claimed that there was no cause for concern.

The former TLC  star told the outlet that he was aware that he and his son had been officially reported missing in Louisville, Kentucky, in a since-deleted notice by Missing People America. Paul, who denied kidnapping his son, said that he and Pierre had been on an extended work-oriented trip. He confirmed that his son was safe and sound. 

Paul stated that he has had sole custody of the two boys he shares with ex-wife, Karine Martins, in recent months. He explained that he’s spent the last month hunting work, and has been traveling between Pennsylvania and Florida with the child. He claimed that he took Pierre along because his son suffers from extreme separation anxiety. CPS officials took custody of Pierre’s younger brother, Ethan, who was reportedly staying with Paul’s mother. The agency also filed the missing person’s report with the police. Louisville Metro PD confirmed that they received the report.

Paul told the outlet that he was headed home to set things straight and that he hoped to regain custody of both of his sons on his own, or with the help of his parents, in the coming weeks.

90 Day Fiancé fans know that Paul and Karine shared a rocky relationship since the day they connected on the show. Their relationship only grew more tumultuous after getting married. 

In August 2020, Paul took to his Instagram Stories to inform fans that Karine had taken off with their son. 

“I’m in the hospital waiting to get the results back now,” Paul said while lying in a hospital bed. “Karine’s gone with Pierre. I don’t where they are.”

Paul said his neighbors informed him that Karine took off with the couple’s 17-month-old son in another man’s vehicle.

The reality star shared, via another Instagram story, the reason for the hospital stay, explaining that he was undergoing treatment after testing positive for a sexually transmitted disease.  

“Tested positive for an STD. Wtf, receiving treatment. I have never cheated on my wife,” the shocking text stated.

Paul filed for a restraining order against his Brazilian bride that same month. Karine had filed a previous restraining order against Paul — accusing him of sexual assault.

“I previously found glass in my food,” Paul alleged in court documents. “I found similar glass shards from an item she broke.”

Paul alleged days later that Karine’s “friends have been calling me threatening to come to my home and kill me. They requested I pay them $10,000 or I would never see my son again.” 

A judge ordered Karine to cut off communication and stay 500 feet away from her husband. 

The TLC couple married in 2017, after the early days of their in-person romance were chronicled for the reality series.

In November 2020, Paul revealed that he and Karine had been fired from the popular show. 

He wrote—“Update. The false allegations against we were withdrawn. We are currently in Brazil. Karine’s green card was stolen and the embassy is closed because of Covid19 so we will be have indefinitely until we can get her a boarding foil hopefully before her green card expires. Karine is pregnant with our next son Ethan Martins Staehle who will be born in February.”

At the time, the couple was living on a family farm in Brazil. Karine inherited the property after she reconciled with Paul following a nasty fight.
