Pumpkin Responds To Rumors Honey Boo Boo Got Engaged!
Mama June’s daughter, Pumpkin, took time to respond to rumors going around that Honey Boo Boo got engaged.
Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird was recently appointed legal guardian over Honey Boo Boo, aka Alana Thompson, who is 16 years old. As a big sister, Pumpkin knows about Alana’s relationship with her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell. Pumpkin exclusively spoke to The Sun and said, “Me and my husband love Darlin. He’s very respectful and treats Alana with the utmost respect. He is around us and our kids a bunch also and we love him for Alana.”
Rumors began going around that Alana had gotten engaged after she was seen sporting a ring on her finger. Honey Boo Boo’s sister insisted that despite her wearing that ring, it does not mean she is getting married to Dralin, 21. The mother of four clarified that the ring was a promise ring given to Alana by Dralin. She also added that the ring wasn’t a recent gift, it just got people’s attention now. “She got it probably last year, I’m not exactly sure the exact date,” Pumpkin revealed.
Fans spotted the ring on Alana’s hand when The Sun revealed photos of Pumpkin and her husband with their newborn daughters. Pumpkin, her husband Josh, and Alana posed with Pumpkin and Josh’s kids — Ella, 4, Bentley, 1, and newborns Sylus Ray Efird and Stella Renae Efird. Pumpkin told The Sun, “The family is really happy. Things have been stressful adjusting to three babies under one year old and just five kids in general but it’s nothing me and Josh can’t handle.”
In a recent episode of Mama June: Road To Redemption, Pumpkin invites Dralin to Honey Boo Boo’s 16th birthday party. As soon as he entered the house, Alana happily dragged him away to have some alone time with her boyfriend. However, before they could do anything, Pumpkin’s husband Josh stepped in with a few warnings.
Josh told Dralin that he has to treat Alana well or else there would be trouble. “She does live in our house, so the only thing I ask for is respect, honesty, and to treat her really really good because she hadn’t had the best mother in the world to treat her like she’s supposed to been treated. If you don’t do all those things, man, I’m just going to break your neck, ok? “
A shocked Dralin just nodded in agreement.
The show was filmed last year though fans seem to think Josh’s words worked like magic since the young couple is still going strong.
