‘The Family Chantel’ Winter To Undergo Bariatric Surgery In Mexico After Dumping Jah!

The Family Chantel is returning for its fourth season and there is a lot of drama including Winter’s surgery. 

According to the reality show’s sneak peek, the new season of The Family Chantel will premiere on June 6. In an exclusive clip, Winter reveals what has been happening in her life. She finally moved on from her ex-boyfriend, Jah, and is ready to start fresh by getting bariatric surgery. Since Winter has been on her weight loss journey, she feels getting the surgery would be the next best step towards her goal.

However, Winter’s surgery isn’t so simple. The TLC star wants to get her surgery in Tijuana, Mexico. Why? Because that is where TikTok star, Weightloss Barbie, had her procedure done. Since Winter’s mother and Chantel are worried that she will get scammed or something will go wrong, they decide to tag along. Karen says, “It’s really highly risky.” Winter’s older sister had some more harsh words for her, calling her naive due to her surgery location. 

Chantel says, “I do think that bariatric surgery is the best option for her, but Winter has proven herself naive in the past, so I think she’s being a little too trusting about this surgery in Mexico.” Despite her family’s warnings, Winter is adamant that she will have the procedure done in Mexico. She explained that other than its cost-effectiveness, the surgery in Mexico has fewer prerequisites.

Winter says, “I made this decision on my own and this is what I want to do so I’m going to do it.” Apart from Winter’s surgery drama, Pedro and Chantel are also going through problems of their own. The show’s description stated that after 5 years of marriage, the couple has hit a rough patch and can hardly agree on anything. “The only thing they can agree on is that they need to take serious steps to save their love.”

Nicole has also moved on from her ex, Alejandro, and is chasing her dreams in the new season. “Pedro’s sister Nicole has made a clean break with Alejandro and is focusing on herself and her future. She’s even entered the Miss Dominican Republic pageant and is training hard.” Until a surprise visit from her ex throws her off. Add on to that Pedro’s relationship with his mother and sister is still strained. River also decides it is time to leave his parent’s home and looks for support from Pedro.
