Mama June’s History Of Dating Sexual Offenders & Pumpkin’s Real Dad Revealed in Exclusive Interview
As we reported earlier, Honey Boo’s mom, Mama June, was said to be dating a convicted child molester, and as a result, Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo, was cancelled. Now All About The Tea has learned that Mama June has a history with dating sex offenders and other criminals. Another harsh “reality” is that Mama June could lose custody of her three children, Alana “Honey-Boo, Lauren “Pumpkin” and Jessica “Chubbs.” Child Protective Services have reportedly opened a case on the matter.
Although Mama June denies rekindling the relationship with child molester, Mark McDaniel, he and Mama June were spotting last weekend house hunting in Georgia. McDaniel pleaded guilty to child molestation charges and was sentenced to 10 years in 2004. The victim, Mama June’s daughter, Anna, who was 8 at the time and is now 20, married, with a two-year old. She says, “A week or so after it happened, I talked to Mama and she was upset, crying and saying, ‘I don’t believe you, I don’t believe you, why would you do this to me?’”
Anna would have spoken up sooner, but McDaniel allegedly threatened to kill her and her family if she ever told anyone. Anna moved out and into her Grandparents’ home, but returned home shortly before filming started to “put their relationship back on track.”
For her part, Mama June denies these reports that she’s dating convicted child molester Mark McDaniel. In a video she posted over the weekend, Mama June said, “The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue. I would not ever, ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger.”
And yet, she did. Reportedly, Mama June, dated sex offender, Michael Anthony Ford, who is currently in jail on different charges involving a child, several months prior to becoming pregnant with Jessica, who is now 17. Honey Boo-Boo’s dad, David Michael “Sugar Bear” Thompson, did time for robbing a series of campsites and setting fire to another.

Anna’s father, David Dunn, also was sentenced to time for stealing a handgun, and a different time, a carton of cigarettes.
