Dr. Dre Back In The Studio Just A Day After Being Released From ICU For Brain Aneurysm!
Dr. Dre has wasted no time getting back to work just days after being released from the hospital.
As reported, the Grammy-winner producer was rushed to the hospital by ambulance after suffering a brain aneurysm on Jan. 4. Exclusive sources close to Dr. Dre told TMZ that the 55-year-old was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. and was taken straight to ICU.
Over the weekend, Dr. Dre was released from Cedars and immediately went to work. On Saturday, fellow Grammy-winning producer Focus posted a photo of himself and Dre surrounded by a host of other creatives inside a recording studio.
“?? ??? ??? ?? ????? ????!!!” Focus wrote in the caption. “We Working… I TOOK THE PIC SO IM HERE!!! #AFTERMATH #aftermathematix.”
In the photo, Dre, seated in the middle, looks great considering his health crisis. Ice-T took to Twitter to update fans on the rapper’s condition.
“Update: Just FaceTimed with @drdre He just made it home. Safe and looking good ???,” Ice-T tweeted.
Dr. Dre seems to be in pretty good shape healthwise, and out of the clear as far as being in immediate danger. Reports say that while the legendary producer is at home recuperating, he is receiving round-the-clock care from medical professionals. However, doctors are still trying to figure out what caused the aneurysm.
Now that Dre‘s home, he’ll have plenty of time to hop back into his nasty divorce battle against estranged wife, Nicole Young. Just days before Dre was rushed to the hospital, Nicole filed divorce documents accusing him of years of violent and emotional abuse.
Court docs reveal that Nicole, 50, accused Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, 55, of holding a gun to her head, punching her in the face, slamming her against a wall, and lifting her off her feet by her neck.
Nicole is battling in court for her cut of Dre’s estimated $1 billion fortune, and alleged the abuse in response to Dre’s comment last week that “at no time did I abuse Nicole or threaten her physical safety,” during their 24-year marriage. Nicole slammed his declaration as “blatant lies.”
Dre has been paying his ex $293k a month in support but Nicole is asking the court to force him to shell out almost $2 million per month, plus an additional $5 million to cover attorney fees. Nicole argues that she has a right to continue the luxury lifestyle she had as Dre’s wife. She claims that she needs $2 million a month to maintain her “status quo.”
