RHONY Tea: Aviva Fired, Ramona Demoted, New Housewife Joining The Show
It appears Aviva Drescher maybe on her last leg.
“Real Housewives of New York” star, Vassar graduate, and author of “Leggy Blonde” made headlines in the finale episode when she removed her prosthetic leg and tossed it across a crowded restaurant.
Us Weekly is reporting, Drescher, has been given her walking papers. Drescher was scrutinized and ganged up on by her costars all season long. Her costars taunted her for everything from her numerous illnesses to the “Bookgate” drama. The whole season was seemingly dedicated to an exhausting “Bookgate” storyline and the ladies couldn’t seem to turn the page. Carole accused Aviva of using a ghostwriter and when Aviva returned the favor, all hell broke loose. Aviva said “the word on the street” is that Carole used a ghostwriter to write “What Remains,” about her late husband’s battle with cancer and Carole became incensed.
Aviva’s costars, Carole Radziwill, Kristen Taekman and Heather Thomson would not give Aviva a break all season. Sonja Morgan was the only member of the cast that stood up for Aviva and not participate in the mean girl antics.
Neither Drescher or Bravo have commented on her reported firing.
In other RHONY rumors, Page Six is reporting former supermodel, Helena Christenson has been approached to join the cast but was “not enthused.”
Another cast shake-up is the reported demotion of Ramona Singer. US Weekly reports, Ramona Singer has been demoted to a “friend of a housewife.” Does this mean we won’t see her divorce drama play out on screen? Darn! So this leaves Sonja Morgan, Kristen Taekman, Heather Thomson, LuAnn de Lesseps and Carole Radziwill as full time housewives on the next season of the “Real Housewives of New York.”
We will keep you updated with cast changes. Stay tuned.
