Aaron Phypers Accused of Threatening Cousin Who Spoke Out About Denise Richards’ Alleged Abuse!
Denise Richards’ estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, is facing serious new allegations — including claims that he tried to stop his own cousin from speaking out about his alleged abuse.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Los Angeles prosecutors filed a criminal complaint and arrest warrant against Aaron, 53, on October 15, revealing the four felony charges that led to his courthouse arrest two days later. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s estranged husband has been charged with two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat.
One of the new charges, prosecutors say, involves Aaron Phypers’ cousin, Kathleen McAllister, who previously worked with him at his Malibu wellness center.

The alleged incident occurred on January 17, 2022, and prosecutors claim Aaron “knowingly and maliciously” acted with “force and an express and implied threat of force and violence” toward both Kathleen and Denise, 54.
In Denise’s petition for a restraining order filed in July, the actress recalled that same date. She alleged that during an argument at Aaron’s wellness center, a female family member was present. “Aaron brought several potted plants into the center and became paranoid that they contained listening devices,” the filing stated. Denise also claimed a police officer, who happened to be nearby, approached the door after hearing yelling. Once the officer left, Denise Richards alleged, Aaron Phypers resumed screaming, then struck her in the eye with the heel of his palm while calling her a “f***ing bitch.”

She said the family member present — believed to be Kathleen — witnessed the assault and immediately applied frozen food to the swelling. According to Denise, Aaron insisted she lie and say she “walked into a piece of equipment,” which she described as “untrue.”
One of the felony spousal injury charges stems from this January 2022 incident, while a second is tied to another alleged assault on May 3, 2022. Denise also testified in court that Aaron caused her to suffer three concussions over the course of their relationship. She claimed one attack left her with a black eye after he “slammed” her into a concrete wall at his wellness center. Aaron, however, has adamantly denied her claims on the stand.

Denise Richards obtained a temporary restraining order against Aaron Phypers in July, days after he filed for divorce. On October 17, following testimony from both sides, Aaron was arrested outside the Los Angeles courthouse and taken into custody. He was later released after posting $200,000 bail.
“We can confirm that Aaron Phypers was, in fact, arrested near the end of the family law court day on October 17, 2025, and was later released on bail,” his attorney, Michael Finley, said in a statement.

Michael added, “We have not seen the criminal complaint, but we believe that it is most likely based upon the some of the same false accusations that Denise Richards has brought against Mr. Phypers in the family law domestic violence proceeding, which she claims occurred nearly four years ago. If so, we expect that the evidence will demonstrate Mr. Phypers’ innocence and that he will be acquitted.”
If convicted, Aaron faces up to four years in prison.
