Gia Giudice APOLOGIZES to Riley Burruss After Fans Accuse Her of Racism on Next Gen NYC!

Gia Giudice is speaking out after facing backlash from fans who accused her of racism and microaggressions—offering an emotional apology to Riley Burruss and reflecting on her behavior during Next Gen NYC.

“I know I wear my expressions on my face, but wow – this season of Next Gen, I did not realize how much you could read how I was feeling without me even opening my mouth,” Gia admitted on her Casual Chaos podcast. “And I think this season of Next Gen was not the best reflection of who I truly am in the workplace, what I do every day, and how I treat my friends.”

Gia’s comments come after fans criticized her during a heated dinner scene in Atlantic City, where she clashed with Riley over castmate Georgia McCann’s business plans. When Riley told Georgia her bowling alley/club idea was a “terrible idea,” Gia jumped in, which led to an emotional fallout that left Riley in tears.

“I was never trying to make Riley feel less than herself or make her feel like she couldn’t say her opinion,” Gia explained. “Because truth be told, Riley’s opinion was 100% correct.”

She continued, “I never like to see my friends upset. I never like to see my friends hurt. And I get very protective. So when we were sitting at that dinner table in Atlantic City, I honestly thought that Riley was gonna come off as rude, and I didn’t want her to look like that on camera, so I was trying to protect her.”

But Gia now admits that her attempt to intervene may have backfired. “I just need to realize that it’s not my place and I’m allowed to let situations just play out how they’re supposed to,” she said.

“Because in the end, Riley, you were so right and there was no need for me to insert myself. And like Ariana said, you know, ‘Gia, just shut the f*** up sometimes.’ Yeah, sometimes I need to just shut the f*** up… And I was definitely a little harsh towards Riley and Georgia when I told them to shut the f*** up at the dinner table in Atlantic City.”

As the drama unfolds, fans—especially over the last two weeks—have been dragging Gia for what they called tone-deaf comments, microaggressions, and mean-girl behavior, leaving many questioning whether her apology is enough to undo the damage.
