David Beador Files For Divorce and Restraining Order Against Lesley After She Exposed He’s Gay
David Beador, the former husband of Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador, has filed for a restraining order against his estranged wife, Lesley Beador.
In court documents filed on June 17, David accused Lesley of repeated physical abuse and questioned her motivations for their marriage.
“Lesley has physically abused me on several occasions and only a small portion of those incidents have been detailed in previous domestic violence actions,” he stated in the petition.
He also alleged, “Lesley is a pathological liar and she will state under penalty of perjury literally anything that will benefit her.”
Allegations of Financial Motive
David Beador, 60, claimed Lesley, 41, married him primarily for financial gain. “Lesley and I have had many ups and downs in our marital relationship, with prior [divorce petitions] filed and dismissed and domestic violence restraining orders,” the filing reads. “I have always been concerned that Lesley’s relationship with me has been primarily based upon her desire to live a luxurious standard of living.”
“In our case [it’s] not just a cliché that Lesley married me for my money. In our case it is a fact, she has made that very clear to me literally,” he stated.
Details of Alleged Physical Altercation
In the court documents, David described a June 11 incident in which he said Lesley “physically attacked me, gouging large chunks of skin out of my arm.” He also alleged that Lesley shoved her fingers in his mouth, later accused him of biting her, and slapped him multiple times.
Two days after the alleged altercation, David claimed Lesley accused him of being gay — a claim he denied, according to People.
Court Ruling and Custody Provisions
David and Lesley share a 4-year-old daughter, Anna Love. A court has ordered that Lesley stay at least 100 yards away from David, his residence, and his place of employment, with the exception of custody exchanges involving their daughter. Lesley has also been ordered to vacate David’s Newport Beach, California home.
Lesley’s Previous Restraining Order Filing
In September 2024, Lesley filed her own temporary restraining order request against David, alleging domestic violence. In her filing, Lesley claimed David was verbally abusive and harassed her in front of their daughter, as well as her two other children from a previous relationship with Eriks Pukke.
“I never know when [David’s] next meltdown will be or how long they will last,” Lesley wrote in her court declaration. “These meltdowns when they occur are nonstop, even when he is working and they cause me to live in fear and to worry about the effect on the children.”
David’s Response to Lesley’s Allegations
David responded to Lesley’s restraining order filing at the time by accusing her of manipulative intentions.
“She is upset because I cancelled her credit card with unlimited spending. I am not required to sustain her lifestyle,” he said, calling her claims “pure extortion.”
David and Lesley were married in October 2020, three years after his separation from Shannon Beador. He and Shannon were married for 17 years and have three daughters together.
