Next Gen NYC Star Ava Dash Evicted From Apartment As Damon Dash Admits He’s BROKE!

Next Gen NYC star Ava Dash is facing financial turbulence just as her new Bravo show begins to gain traction.

The daughter of music mogul Damon Dash has reportedly been evicted from her Manhattan apartment after falling behind on rent payments. According to court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Ava, 24, and three other tenants stopped paying rent on their TriBeCa apartment in July 2024. The rent on the unit was a steep $9,995 per month, with an additional $3,872.90 due for a partial fifth month.

“Respondent(s) have defaulted in the payment thereof and continue in possession of premises without permission after said default,” the eviction filing stated.

The landlord requested the court issue a “warrant to remove respondents from possession of the premises together with the costs and disbursements of this proceeding.”

A formal notice of eviction was issued in October 2024, warning Ava and her co-tenants, “If you do not vacate the location listed above within 14 days after the date of this notice, you may be evicted without further notice.”

Though the show’s teaser featured a quick glimpse of an eviction notice on a door—names blurred out—it’s now believed that moment may have been tied to Ava’s situation, raising the possibility that the drama could unfold on Next Gen NYC this season.

Ava stars on the Bravo series alongside other reality TV legacy kids including Gia Giudice, Ariana Biermann, and Riley Burruss, navigating life, careers, and personal struggles in New York City.

The eviction news arrives on the heels of Ava’s father, Damon Dash, publicly acknowledging his own financial hardship.

In a recent interview, the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder shared: “I’ve had to start [a] new company from scratch, without any money to start it with […] I’m like a proud broke, but it ain’t broke, because I have things to show for it.”

Back in November, the New York Post reported that a state official purchased Damon’s one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella Records for $1 million in order to settle his debts. The funds were reportedly intended to help cover Damon’s state tax liability and a $193,000 child support bill, likely owed to fashion designer Rachel Roy, Ava’s mother.

Fans can catch Ava’s story unfold on Next Gen NYC, airing Tuesday nights on Bravo.
