Savannah Chrisley Overwhelmed and Speechless as She Reacts to Todd & Julie’s Shocking Pardon!
Savannah Chrisley is overcome with emotion as she prepares to welcome her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, back home following a stunning presidential pardon.
The Chrisley Knows Best alum shared the life-changing update in an Instagram video Tuesday evening, where she revealed that former President Donald Trump personally called to inform her of the decision. “We are freaking out over here, I have shed so many tears,” Savannah, 27, said through tears. “The president called me personally as I was walking into Sam’s Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both my parents.”
Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were convicted in June 2022 of tax evasion and bank fraud. Julie was sentenced to seven years, and Todd was handed a 12-year sentence.
After serving just two years in federal prison, the couple is now expected to be released “tonight or tomorrow,” Savannah added. “I still don’t believe it’s real,” she continued. “Both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, and I still don’t believe it’s real.”
As she spoke, Savannah said she was already making preparations. “Getting clothes together for mom and dad, getting their room together,” she shared, adding, “I’m just speechless … Grayson’s showing me all of these things that people are posting and we are so grateful.”
Savannah also gave thanks to Trump and everyone involved in advocating for the Chrisleys’ release. “I would forever be grateful to President Trump, his administration, and everyone who helped get us to this point.”
Earlier that day, Trump announced the news via video on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Your parents are gonna be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. Is that OK? We’ll try getting it done tomorrow.” He added, “I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good life.” Trump also noted he had heard about their alleged treatment while incarcerated, commenting, “I heard they were treated very unfairly.”
The Chrisleys have consistently maintained their innocence, despite being found guilty of submitting falsified documents to secure bank loans, and Julie allegedly presenting fake credit reports to rent a California property.
As Savannah wrapped up her Instagram update, her voice cracked with emotion. “I’m freaking out. So I’m gonna go prepare to pick up my parents. They’re coming home. My parents get to start their lives over.” The couple shares children Savannah, Grayson, and Chase, 28. Todd also has two older children—Lindsie, 35, and Kyle, 33—from a previous marriage.
