Cynthia Bailey Says Kenya Moore’s Firing Was a Major Loss for Bravo and Hopes for Her Return!
Cynthia Bailey is missing her longtime friend and castmate Kenya Moore—especially after Moore’s recent suspension from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The two have filmed together for over 15 years, and now Cynthia is opening up about how Kenya’s absence has impacted her, as questions swirl over whether the RHOA vet will ever return.
“I do think she will find her way back, absolutely,” Cynthia said during Adrienne Maloof’s Women’s Health Benefit in May. “Losing Kenya was hard for me because she’s one of the best to ever do this reality TV thing. She’s a phenomenal Housewife.”
Kenya’s suspension came just episodes into Season 16, following a heated altercation with newcomer Brittany Eady. During an RHOA cast event, things escalated quickly when Brit warned Kenya, “I’ve got whips, pistols, I’ve got everything … Don’t play that with me.” After a Bravo-led investigation, the network confirmed Brit did not possess a weapon, and she remained on the cast.
However, it was Kenya’s response that drew the network’s ire. At her spa opening, Kenya Moore shocked guests by launching a ruthless takedown of Brittany Eady, unveiling blown-up posters that mocked Brit’s plastic surgery and labeled her a “trap ho” and “video ho.”
The situation escalated when Kenya revealed a final image so explicit Bravo refused to air it. Kenya claimed she was retaliating after Brittany allegedly threatened her with a gun, but even close friend Cynthia Bailey was disappointed, calling it a waste of an opportunity and a new low for Kenya.
Though Cynthia previously criticized Kenya’s behavior, she now says she’s ready to move forward and rekindle their friendship. “We’ve had our ups and downs, but I know her heart,” Cynthia shared. “And I think everyone deserves a second chance.”
