As The Valley Season 2 peels back the curtain on the unraveling marriage of Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, fans are getting a raw look at the couple’s longtime struggles—and Brittany is speaking out.
During a candid interview on The Nikki & Brie Show on SiriusXM, Brittany, 35, opened up about the aftermath of filming and her estranged husband’s reaction to her sharing her side of the story. “It’s always up and down,” she said of their current dynamic. “He’s in this phase right now where he’s like, ‘Please stop talking about me, stop talking about me,’ and I’m like, ‘Again, you did all this stuff when you knew the cameras were around, so I have to talk about it.’”
She added, “I don’t want to be silenced ever, so I’m going to speak my truth.”
Brittany and Jax, 44, tied the knot in 2019 after years on Vanderpump Rules. Though their wedding was a Bravo spectacle, their split—announced in early 2024—has been anything but glamorous. The former couple, who share a 4-year-old son named Cruz, are still in the midst of their divorce.
“It has not been finalized yet,” Brittany revealed, noting that Jax has a tendency to delay things. “He waited till the very last day to sign … messed up all the paperwork, did all this stuff, and now it just seems like he keeps doing stuff to prolong it.”
Despite the slow legal process, Brittany said she’s moving forward emotionally. “I feel like I’m personally in a better place now,” she shared. “It helped me be stronger in a weird way … I hold a mirror up to myself and I’m like, ‘I can never go back,’ you know?”
As the drama continues to unfold weekly on The Valley, Brittany is focused on her growth—and standing firm against anyone trying to quiet her.
