Kenya Moore’s Ex Marc Daly SHUTS DOWN His Brooklyn Restaurant… After Major MONEY PROBLEMS!
Marc Daly, the former husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kenya Moore, has officially closed the doors to his longtime Brooklyn restaurant, Soco. The Southern fusion eatery, a staple in the Clinton Hill neighborhood for over 15 years, quietly shut down at the end of 2024. Marc confirmed the closure in a heartfelt Instagram post and revealed he’s embarking on a brand-new chapter—this time in the media space.
“It is with a full heart that I announce the closure of Soco,” Marc wrote in a farewell message shared online. “After 15 years of serving our wonderful community, it’s time for me to explore a new adventure in media, so I move onward and upward.”
Although the closure was previously announced by Marc Daly, The Sun recently published new images of the now-vacant storefront. Photos show bright orange “For Lease” signs lining the windows of the once-popular restaurant, confirming that the business has officially shuttered.
The news comes amid reported financial challenges for Marc. Last year, court records revealed that he was facing eviction from his Brooklyn apartment and owed nearly $10,000 in back rent on several properties. In light of these struggles, Marc appears to have left New York City entirely.
“Goodbye, Brooklyn. You will always be my hometown!” Marc Daly shared in a separate social media post, signaling his departure from the city he once called home.
According to his updated Instagram profile, Daly has rebranded his restaurant’s former account under a new name: “Pulse Media.” While full details on his upcoming venture remain under wraps, the former restaurateur hinted at a forthcoming coffee business based in Atlanta.
Marc Daly’s move south may also have personal benefits, particularly when it comes to his co-parenting relationship with Kenya. The pair share one daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly.
Marc is currently under a court order to pay Kenya $2,000 in monthly child support—a responsibility that could become more manageable with the two living closer together. As Marc transitions into this next phase, The Real Housewives of Atlanta continues to document the ups and downs of life in Atlanta. New episodes air Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
