‘Sister Wives’ Season 19 Tell-All Part 1: Christine Admits Regret, Kody Defends Robyn, and Meri and Janelle Fire Back
As the Brown family continues to navigate life after multiple divorces, Part 1 of the Sister Wives Season 19 tell-all brought emotional revelations and bold confessions from the cast.
In the May 25, 2025 special, hosted by Sukanya “Suki” Krishnan, stars Christine Brown, Kody Brown, Meri Brown, and Janelle Brown each opened up about the breakdown of their plural family and where they stand today.
Christine Brown Reflects on Her Devotion to Kody: “It’s Embarrassing”
Christine Brown sat down with Suki and candidly shared her feelings about how deeply she prioritized Kody throughout their marriage.
“It’s such a weird and embarrassing thing to admit,” Christine said in a video clip shared by TLC’s Instagram. “But my life was wrapped up in what Kody needed and what he wanted and what the family needed and wanted. I probably fixated on that man more than – so much.”
Christine explained that even when Kody wasn’t physically present, her daily routine revolved around preparing for his arrival.
“So, like, even when he wasn’t there, I’d be thinking, ‘Whenever he gets here, we’re going to do this, this and this.’ Because he didn’t just insert into my life. He didn’t do just whatever we were doing. We had to change what we were doing to accommodate him. That’s not OK. That’s not fair. That’s making it so our lives are focused on him.”
She concluded by admitting, “It was frustrating to me and embarrassing that I lived it.”
Kody Brown Says He and Robyn Have Been “Bitch Slapped” for Their Love
During his own sit-down, Kody Brown responded strongly when asked about the longstanding accusations of favoritism toward his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.
When Suki noted that Kody was “supposed to love everybody equally,” he shot back, “Try that. Your relationship with all your children is different. Your relationship with all your friends is different. There are ones that do different things, that have different fulfillments, and stuff like that. You find higher love, and then everybody just slaps you down for it?”
He continued, “I’ll tell you what. There’s a divine aspect about my relationship with Robyn, and we have been bitch slapped for it. I love this woman and I want peace in this relationship, but I’m to the point where I’m walking around flipping two birds because I am so sick and tired of being guilted for loving Robyn.”
Janelle and Meri Respond to Kody’s ‘Divine Love’ Claim
Janelle Brown was quick to question Kody’s claim that he aspired to raise each of his wives up to the level of love he shares with Robyn.
“Would’ve been nice if he communicated that back then,” she said in a TLC Instagram clip. “Maybe that’s revisionist history, too. In hindsight, he’s like, ‘Well, I tried. I wanted to, but they just didn’t want to come along.'”
Janelle added, “He never talked about that. I never felt him trying to raise me up.”
Meri Brown echoed Janelle’s skepticism in her own interview.
“I don’t think that’s fair for him to even say,” Meri said. “Because we’re all supposed to be Robyn? I’m sorry, I am Meri. I’m not going to be Robyn. I don’t want to be Robyn. I’m gonna be my own individual person. I don’t want to be her.”
When asked if their love could have been “equal but different,” Meri replied, “Only if he accepts Meri, and he didn’t accept Meri. He didn’t for the past 12 or 14 years, or maybe even more.”
What’s Next for the Browns?
With Kody and Robyn remaining together and the other three marriages officially over, Part 1 of the Sister Wives tell-all provided a raw glimpse into the emotional fallout. The full tell-all special continues airing on TLC and Max at 10 p.m. ET.
