Is RHONJ Canceled? Bravo Shifts Focus to Real Housewives of Rhode Island as Its Future Remains Unclear

With RHONJ on ice, Bravo insiders claim the network may already have its replacement lined up—and it could be The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

Earlier this month, Bravo announced several new shows in development, sparking renewed speculation about the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Fans began wondering if RHONJ might quietly resume filming amid the network’s expanded slate.  Despite the chatter online, a source close to production told OK! Magazine exclusively that “there is no truth to any rumors a RHONJ cast is close to [being] finalized.”

“There has been zero movement with the show and, as of now, Bravo seems focused on their returning and new shows, including The Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” the source said. “In fact, Andy Cohen’s even compared it to RHONJ, almost setting the stage for it to be its replacement as long as the ratings come in.”

Dolores Catania also recently sparked buzz after posing for a photo with the rumored cast of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Fans quickly speculated that the RHONJ star might be making a surprise move to the new franchise. And allegedly, Dolores Catania may be making the move to Rhode Island too.

That update leaves both the cast and fans in a state of uncertainty. “There just simply isn’t any news there, and any other reports to the contrary, unfortunately, aren’t factual at this time,” the insider added.

“It’s likely just some of the women who were on the show putting that info out in hopes Bravo takes heed of the interest and makes a move.”

While Bravo has remained quiet on official casting decisions, they have acknowledged that changes are coming. At the conclusion of Season 14, the network confirmed that the series would undergo a shakeup—though it remains unknown which cast members, if any, will return.

For now, RHONJ remains in limbo as Bravo shifts its focus to new ventures, leaving fans waiting for official word on the Garden State’s next chapter.
