Sonja Morgan Hauled Off in Ambulance After Wild Palm Beach Night — Spirals But Avoids Arrest!
Sonja Morgan’s Florida getaway took an unexpected turn Thursday night when the Real Housewives of New York City alum was transported by ambulance from Echo restaurant in Palm Beach following what appeared to be a tense encounter with police.
According to a May 16 report by TMZ, the 61-year-old Bravo star was seen engaging in a visibly emotional exchange with officers and restaurant staff outside the upscale Asian-inspired eatery. Witnesses say the conversation lasted approximately 15 minutes before Sonja was placed on a stretcher and taken away in an ambulance.
The Palm Beach Police Department later confirmed to the outlet that officers and emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene around 9:45 p.m. in response to a medical call. Officials remained at the restaurant for less than an hour and confirmed that one patient was treated.
Although the exact reason for Sonja’s hospitalization has not been made public, social media was quick to offer additional details. Bravo fan account Janets of Bravo on X shared a message from an alleged eyewitness who claimed to be at Echo with colleagues.
“This is from a guy on my team: From my understanding the [police] gave her [two] options: Leave in the back of the cop car or leave in an ambulance and she left in the ambulance,” the insider claimed. “She was fuuuuuuuu*ked … She couldn’t walk down the steps on her own … [I don’t know] what happened inside.”
At this time, Sonja has not publicly addressed the incident.
The hospitalization comes just days after the former RHONY star made headlines for a dramatic scene at NYC’s Tucci restaurant. As previously reported, Morgan was banned from the Italian hotspot after allegedly demanding her $1,000 dinner tab be comped and reportedly causing a disturbance when her request was denied.
“There was a clear miscommunication,” Sonja told Page Six earlier this week. “I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post. I made that known to staff.”Despite the chaos, Sonja did ultimately settle the bill in full and even left a tip.
“I definitely felt lost,” she admitted of the Tucci ordeal.
Sonja, a fan-favorite from her time on The Real Housewives of New York City, has been relatively low-key since stepping away from the series but remains a beloved and often headline-making figure in the Bravo universe.
No word yet on whether this most recent incident will prompt an official statement from Sonja — or perhaps another return to television.
