Angela Oakley SHUTS DOWN Rumors About Husband Charles, Says He Didn’t Have a Baby on Her!

Angela Oakley isn’t letting the rumor mill spin out of control.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta newcomer opened up in a revealing interview on The Viall Files, setting the record straight about the ongoing rumors involving her husband, former NBA star Charles Oakley — including allegations that he fathered a child outside of their marriage.

According to Angela, the decades-old gossip — first sparked by none other than Wendy Williams — is not only untrue, but also played a surprising role in her casting on RHOA.

“Wendy Williams story, I think the story is the reason I was cast in a way because I just feel like it gives so much drama,” Angela said during the interview. “But that’s not the case. Charles did not have a side baby. We can clear that and Wendy Williams and I had a conversation that just went left.”

Angela shared that the confrontation with the former daytime talk show host happened after she gave Wendy “some unsolicited advice” at a private event.

“I told her maybe she should stay with her husband and I know he had a baby on her,” Angela recalled. “But I just thought — I was the biggest Wendy fan and I felt like now is my chance. I saw her in a private event. And I just went up to her. If Charles knew I did this ahead of time, he would have just kicked me out of the party because me and my big mouth.”

Angela admitted she approached Wendy with the best intentions, but it didn’t go well.

“I snuck over to her and I was like, ‘Wendy, you know, it’s just a baby,’” she said. “She went off. That’s why I’m like the fans are defending Wendy, [but] Wendy went off on me herself. It wasn’t like Wendy was just sitting there.”

According to Angela, Wendy didn’t hold back.

“She was like, ‘Get the f— away from me.’ And she was like, ‘Has that ever happened to you?’ Wendy went off! I have not lived this day down in my life,” Angela said. “This is one of my worst moments because now I’m thinking back and I’m like, ‘That was Wendy Williams!’ Like who the heck do you think you are to give her unsolicited advice?”

Despite the viral nature of the moment, Angela admitted that Wendy’s fiery response was completely justified.

“She did what I would have done too. If you’re bold enough to say this to me, I’m gonna put some juice on it. I’m gonna put some sauce on it … I’m gonna make it juicy ’cause you done lost your mind,” Angela explained. “And that’s what Wendy did. She gave me what I deserved. She added that I said he had a baby on me. It was not Charles Oakley. No! It was my oldest daughter’s father who had a baby.”

To further shut down the claims about Charles, Angela also took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond directly to a fan who accused her of lying about the timeline of Charles’ children.

“He’s 28 baby. It’s before my time with my husband. 🙏🏾” Angela wrote, referring to Charles Oakley Jr.

The drama comes on the heels of Angela’s explosive debut season on RHOA, which included fallout with Porsha Williams after Angela invited Drew Sidora to Porsha’s birthday trip in Nashville — despite tensions between Drew and Porsha’s ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley.

With Angela refusing to back down both on and off the show, it’s clear she’s making her mark — and she’s not here for the rumors.
