Meredith Marks Shuts Down RHOSLC Suspension Rumors, Says She Was Never Violent!
Meredith Marks is clearing the air.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star took to Instagram over the weekend to shut down rumors that she had been suspended from filming or had gotten physical with her castmates during a heated moment on set.
“I was not suspended and have never been physically violent in my life,” Meredith, 53, wrote on her Instagram Story on May 4. “Please stop fostering these lies started by … Some people work overtime with their smear campaigns.”
The statement comes after online speculation swirled that Meredith had been involved in a blowout confrontation with new cast member Britani Bateman, also 53, as well as longtime RHOSLC co-stars Heather Gay, 50, Whitney Rose, 38, and Angie Katsanevas, 51.
According to fan accounts, Meredith allegedly referred to Britani as “an antisemite and ped*phile” during a confrontation, prompting viewers to question whether the drama had led to disciplinary action from Bravo.
Adding fuel to the fire, Bravo bloggers reported an insider claim that Meredith’s argument with Britani escalated when others—namely Heather, Whitney, and Angie—allegedly brought up cheating allegations about Meredith’s husband, Seth Marks.
But a source close to production told The U.S. Sun there’s no truth to reports of a suspension and confirmed Meredith is still actively filming the upcoming season. “She is not pleased about the rumors and nastiness, pun intended,” the insider said, adding that Meredith believes Britani may have spread the rumors to “stay relevant.”
“Meredith and Brittani get into some pretty nasty altercations and have some blowout fights, but nothing that warrants a suspension,” the source added, explaining that “below the belt” topics—including rumors about Seth—were part of the drama.
Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently in production and is expected to premiere on Bravo later this year.
